Although modern technology, including drones and electronic warfare, has shaped the Russia-Ukraine war, the outcome will likely depend on which side can sustain its artillery usage. Both countries rely heavily on Soviet doctrine that emphasizes artillery, with Russia firing around 10,000 rounds daily and Ukraine about 2,000. Initially, Ukraine relied on its Soviet-era stockpiles of 152mm artillery and ammunition, supplemented by NATO-provided 155mm systems and shells. Moving forward, Ukraine is in an increasingly stronger position, now having the capability to produce both 155mm howitzers and the corresponding artillery shells.
Since the start of the war, Ukraine has invested in developing its own domestic capacity to produce 155mm artillery shells. On September 15, Ukrainian Presidential Advisor Oleksandr Kamyshin announced that Ukraine has started serial production of 155mm rounds, although exact details of the facility were not disclosed. While the facility is currently only producing limited amounts of ammunition, its capacity is expected to triple by the end of the year.

The Ukrainians better keep the site’s location under wraps, or it won’t last long enough to do them any good.
“..Ukraine has invested in developing its own domestic capacity ..”
Correction: The US taxpayer has invested heavily in developing its Ukraine’s capacity for making war both before and after the Russian invasion.
Doesn’t seem like a real smart thing to telegraph the world.
A 155 ammo factory is easy to find. It will get a hypersonic soon! LOL
Can you tell me the precise Military Grid Reference System location of this new manufacturing facility? Asking for a friend. /sarc
According to the article Ukraine can still make the old Soviet ammo, but they need to and want to complete the shift to Western weaponry.
“While Ukraine has the capacity to produce 152mm ammunition, the associated howitzers are from Soviet-era stockpiles. Furthermore, due to the ongoing war, Ukraine is unable to procure new 152mm howitzers from Russia, the primary producer of these systems.”
You're a numbskull if you think continuing this war will result in Ukraine doing anything but losing more lives and territory.
But, you've proven that you're sharpest tool in the shed.
“To the last Ukrainian!” - Blinken / Austin
Foreign military sales by US DOD negotiates contracts. I was involved in doing the exact same contract in Korea in the early 80s. We will send people in to measure the equipment to determine if they are in compliance, too mzny countries try to cheat by making extra guns, but we know when they cheat. Same goes for ammo. We monitor production. Ukraine pays royalities.
LOL. No mention of quantities, and no mention of the incredible disappearing electrical grid that will make manufacturing anything in mass virtually impossible. I'm sure they are doing their best due to Germany and other nations' ending of aid and stockpiles throughout the west running dry and claims increased artillery production in Europe falling badly short. But with the increased recruitment of women and old men for military service and most of the population fled or dead, this is more trivia than newsworthy.
The Euro taxpayer. We Euros have provided much more actual cash than the US.

The 152mm barrels must be getting shot out; how many rounds can they fire?
>We monitor production. Ukraine pays royalities.
If any royalties are being paid, it is with our money to the MIC-connected.
< spits>
Yea sounds about right.
Not as many as you would think. Even our Paladin’s are on their 3rd round of barrels, however, we train much more than them.
I’m guessing the United STates is manufacturing ammo for Ukraine on some third party island or country because Ukraine’s power grid is largely absent, and Putin uses ‘power switching’ offensives to fry equipment plugged into the grid, so wherever they are manufacturing, I don’t see how it can be Ukraine, nor how it can be enough to come close to meeting the need.
