Several top staffers and fundraisers for Mark Robinson's gubernatorial campaign have quit, current and former campaign members said Sunday.
The North Carolina Republican Party nominee for governor is facing increased pressure and skepticism from members of his party after a recent report by CNN alleging that he made lewd, racist and pro-Hitler comments on a pornographic website's messaging board. ... Pressure had been mounting on Robinson in recent weeks, when some Republicans saw his poor polling numbers as a potential drag on Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump's chances of winning North Carolina’s crucial 16 electoral votes. A WRAL News Poll in early September found the presidential race statistically tied, but Robinson trailing Democratic opponent Josh Stein by double digits.
During a visit to Wilmington on Saturday, Trump — who until recently frequently praised Robinson from the stage at rallies in the state — didn’t even mention the candidate he had endorsed and frequently compared to civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr.

Well, if it's true that several of his own "top staffers" and fundraisers have thrown in the towel, that would seem to suggest -- to me, anyway -- that they think these "wild accusations" are, in fact, true.

Was Robinson ever leading in this race?
I read where he used the handle “Black Nazi”.
If even that is true - it shows a huge amount of stupidity.
Agreed. I'm all for an outsider running, but we knew almost nothing about Robinson and suddenly he was Lt. Governor.

He says it’s not him. Maybe it’s just a coincidence, but his opponent is a DC connected progressive Jewish attorney from Harvard. Sure is some interesting good luck that CNN found out his opponent was a black Nazi who wants slavery again. Probably just a coincidence.

And yet when 92% of Kamala staffers over the years have left due to her ugly disposition, the enemedia doesn’t seem to be all that concerned.

What it actually suggests is that they are carefully guarding their ability to work in future campaigns. Campaign work and staffing as a career.
