Dozens of speakers at the Doha event are anti-Israel advocates
The head of an Israel-designated terrorist organization, a former Hamas official, and Hamas apologists are among the dozens of anti-Israel advocates scheduled to speak at a Georgetown University conference in Qatar running Friday through Sunday, a Washington Free Beacon review has found.
The speakers at the "Reimagining Palestine" event will discuss the "ideological shifts" of Zionism, "art as resistance," and "anti-colonial struggles," and will engage in "dialogue that challenges the status quo," according to the Doha event’s website. Among the nearly 70 scholars is Shawan Jabarin, a former senior member of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) and the general director of the Al-Haq organization, an Israeli-designated terrorist group. Another, Wadah Khanfar, was a local Hamas leader in Sudan.
As a senior PFLP operative, Jabarin was convicted in 1985 and was sentenced to 24 months in prison for recruiting for the terrorist group. In 2008, the Israeli Supreme Court described him as "Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde" for serving with Al-Haq while moonlighting with the PFLP, the Jerusalem Post reported.
Al-Haq bills itself as a human rights group focused on violations in Gaza. Israel designated the group as a terrorist organization in 2021, labeling it "an inseparable arm" of the PFLP that operates "on its behalf and upon its instructions as part of the terror organization's struggle against Israel."

This Monday, De Los Santos was using its social media to promote a Havana-based rally in support of Palestine. Watan Jamil Alabed, a representative of the PFLP, was also present at the meeting. The PFLP is responsible for a string of attacks on Israeli civilians and is closely allied to both Hamas and Hezbollah. Students from the NYU encampment sent videos to Havana expressing their gratitude for its support.
During the pro-Palestine protest in Havana, Jamil Alabed said: “The students are in the vanguard and they believe in the victory of our cause, because they know that to fight for Palestine is to fight for the world.”....

A Democrat-led bill condemning Israel’s so-called military occupation of Palestinian lands relies on research from an Israeli-designated terrorist organization.
Rep. Betty McCollum (D., Minn.), along with nearly 30 of her Democrat colleagues, introduced earlier this year the “Defending the Human Rights of Palestinian Children and Families Living Under Israeli Military Occupation Act.” The legislation accuses Israel of wrongfully detaining Palestinian children and subjecting them to interrogation and imprisonment.
But the bill relies heavily on research and statistics produced by Defense for Children International-Palestine (DCIP), a nonprofit group that Israel designated in 2022 as a terrorist organization. The Israeli government says the group is controlled by the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), a militant organization that has killed Americans and is a U.S.-designated terror outfit....
