I’ve never done one these genetic tests for myself, but I have relatives who have. So I guess some of my genetic information is out there.
I don’t see the ads for 23andMe or the other DNA firms as much now as a few years ago.
The fact that the co-founder is married to a Google co-founder is a bit unsettling...

23andMe has gone WAY downhill since I enrolled 5-6 years ago. Many of the really desirable features from the earlier versions are nowhere to be found or under an extra fee subscription. Fortunately, I captured and saved a lot of my ancestral data before it became no longer available.

My daughter was bing into this a couple years back. Not so much anymore, and neither am I.

BTW 23 and me is a scam.
They can not tell you what they claim and often outright lie about what "indicators" mean.
So why did it exist? To collect your DNA.
But the entire family is evil so what did you expect?
