And who was it from the government that tipped this asshole off that President Trump would be playing there that day, as the golf game has been reported to not have been pre-planned or on his schedule for that day.

I would be shocked if charges like the above are not added. They have him cold on the filed charges so that lets them hold him until they get their act together on the others.

The two federal gun charges are just placeholders until law enforcement sifts through all of the evidence. For example, if he was just sitting out in the bushes with a gun, and they have no other proof that he was targeting Trump, it would be hard to win an attempted murder charge against Trump. But, if they go through his phone and computers and it is clear that he was targeting Trump, that might establish an attempt murder case. Bottom line: These two charges are the easiest to prove and will hold him for years alone before the FBI/cops sort everything out.
He was there 12 hours, so unless Trump told someone, “I’m going there to play golf tomorrow”, which is possible, then Routh was there in hopes of Trump golfing that day. Apparently he does when he’s in the area.
