Oh, that sounds awful! Could it be because it’s fall, or is the evergreens that are turning brown, too? I hope some rain reaches you soon. You’d never be able to water than entire lawn and the trees. Not to mention that it would dry your well up.

It’s not fall yet. The leaves are dying because the trees are dying of thirst. And yes, evergreens are turning brown too.
I don’t give a flip about watering the lawn. If it dies, I don’t have to mow it. Watering the trees - - no way I can do that.
A large part of the state is in the same shape. Some have been lucky and gotten/are getting rain but not here. The radar shows light rain here but it isn’t reaching the ground. Dry as a bone out there.
