A panel of campaign strategists and election analysts who watched Tuesday night’s feisty debate between former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris had different takes on the night’s festivities — but did agree on one thing when they spoke to The Post: That Harris had outperformed her boss, President Biden.
Rob Ryan, Republican consultant “Much like Joe Biden in the last debate, Vice President Harris had a bad makeup job. Her face looked washed-out, while Trump had color and looked far younger than his 78 years.
“Trump gets an B+ for his disciplined demeanor. For the most part he didn’t bite when taunted by Harris, except when she brought up his rallies.
“Harris had good debate coaching and was well-practiced. She pivoted from the question asked, talking about whatever topic she wanted, never really answering the question.
“Height of Hypocrisy Award goes to Harris for bragging about Dick Cheney’s endorsement.

I think he did well debating 3 on 1
He got too distracted but he was taking flak from each sides. Klammy was coached well. She may get a bump but nothing lasting because just like here announcement showed here staying power is not long.
Not only was it 3-1, most of the questions favored heels up, and the fact checks were all in one direction...anti-Trump.
Not a single question to her about her flips on fracking, AR 15 MANDATORY BUY BACK {CONFISCATION}, no private health insurance, de-fund the police, abolish ICE etc....
A few of the problems with this type of format (debate?) is that not enough time is given for a thoughtful response and the questions are BS.
I think Trump’s closing was a missed opportunity. He of all people should have been ABC - Always Be Closing. He spent it still do what he’d been doing all night, responding to all the lies, tag-teaming and bullspit. Should have been something like:
“Look, you know me and my record, you know the Biden-Harris record. Which do you prefer? Secure borders or cat eaters? Low inflation or 4 dollar gas and 10 dollar cereal? Peace accords and international trade, or forever wars? Tax cuts that grow the economy or some of the highest taxes in the world to fund special interest boondoggles? I don’t see where this is a difficult choice, but you still need to choose wisely and I hope you will.”
Please, no! You had me till “cat eaters”! That line was insanely off putting and will be retread on SNL any number of times.
Although it’s true illegals are killing and eating animals, gangs that take over apartment complexes and Tren de Aragua crime wars are way worse.
I quickly tried to find a fact check on Harris (wasn’t able to find a real one), other than one article that said Trump lied about inflation, and Harris told one lie in total.
People have to remember to Quemala has been preparing and coached for weeks while President Trump has been busy campaigning and doing interviews, after being subjected to weaponized lawfare, dragged by the media and an assassination attempt where he was actually shot and others were murdered and injured. He’s a champ. He could have done better with some missed opportunities but got some really good points in. Quemala came off as over-rehearsed, manipulative, condescending, mocking, belligerent and deceitful. It was obvious the moderators were in on coordination with Quemala’s team, 3 against 1.
This was the most egregious excuse for a debate I’ve ever seen. Trump debated the moderators more than he did Harris. I sure hope the GOP learned a lesson here. As to the idea that Harris had earrings that were actually a radio receivers, just say “No jewelry during debates by either side.”
The biggest issue is illegals and gangs obtaining guns. If this brews up in big cities before the election, trump will win.
All Kammy had to is show up and speak in complete sentences, she will be declared the winner.
Agreed. Harris is a smug, smarmy, skanky little witch. My faith in my fellow man was however destroyed during the covid terror. I had until then believed enough people were sufficiently moral and intelligent to ensure our continued existence as a nation. I no longer believe this to be true. Harris is the embodiment of all that is wrong in our country, and is celebrated by the most badly warped and demonic amongst us (mutilating the sex organs of children is just fine!), yet somehow garners wide support. I have a very uneasy feeling in my chest about how things are going to go in November, not because of last night’s debate —I don’t think it changed anything— but because we Americans have lost our way, yet ‘proudly’ march forth, defiantly certain in our foolishness. I am praying hard and daily for a change in our course.
amen
but because we Americans have lost our way, yet ‘proudly’
march forth, defiantly certain in our foolishness.

Yep life is ever changing and has been since its beginning.
Will continue until each of us meets our maker. Do your best.
Thanks— needed to hear that (clearly...).
As to the idea that Harris had earrings that were actually
a radio receivers,

Yep some use all options they can find and others don’t. It still
gets down to how the viewing public saw the presentation be it
good, bad or indifferent.
He could’ve mentioned American lives lost to illegal immigrants. THAT would have resonated.
