After an Israeli airstrike on a Hamas command center hidden in the humanitarian zone in Gaza killed three senior terror commanders, outrage erupted in international and Palestinian media amid claims that around 40 people died in the strikes.
According to the Israel Defense Forces, the casualty numbers are inaccurate, and the targets of the strike were “significant terrorists” who were “operating in a command-and-control complex hidden in the humanitarian area in Khan Yunis.”
“Before the attack, many steps were taken to reduce the chance of harming civilians, including the use of precision weaponry, aerial surveillance and additional intelligence information,” the IDF emphasized.

According to Palestinian reports, some 20 tents were destroyed in the strike that left three deep craters. Around 40 people are claimed to be dead, along with about 60 wounded.
The IDF later confirmed the identities of the killed commanders: Samer Ismail Hader Abu-Daqqa, head of Hamas’ aerial array; Osama Tabash, the head of the observations and targets unit at the terror group’s military intelligence headquarters; and Iman Mabhouh, another senior commander.

The Geneva Convention:
Collateral damage is an accepted consequence of warfare. The law of armed conflict (LOAC) permits soldiers to carry out attacks against military objectives with the knowledge that civilians will be killed, provided the attack is consistent with the requirements of the principle of proportionality.
Once again Israel is obeying the laws of combat. These thre Hamas leaders are a significant target.
Furthermore It is prohibited to use civilian populations, the sick, or the injured as human shields.

Whether it’s the left “red lines” for Israel or Putin drawing “red lines” for Ukraine the goal is to place limits on the way the US conducts war.
All the posturing is to convince the US Demonrats/Prog/Green/Communist party to limit the scope of future warfare by the US.
Imagine fighting in WW1/2 Pacific or Europe theaters or even the rebel South where cilvilian casualties are not “allowed” and your enemies infrastructure is off limits.
Once the US is successful in imposing redlines on others the left will impose it on the US.
So, why were these terrorists hiding amongst supposedly innocent civilians in the first place? If they weren’t using their own civilians as human shields, none of them would have died (assuming that Hamas is telling even close to the truth...and that’s a stretch).
PHUCK international opinion - it never gave a damn about Israel or its people, and it actively aids and abets terrorists. Let them be outraged, they simply reveal (again) who they really are.
