A man from Ohio has shared his shock over learning his grandson was told he would need a translator for him to attend preschool in the state.
In a minute-long video, the man claims his daughter had recently attended a meet and greet at her son's preschool only to find that he would be the only one in attendance to speak English.
Staff at the school in New Philadelphia in Tuscarawas County, but which has not been named outright, told the boy's mother that she would need to pay for a translator for the child to attend if he wanted to be taught in English. ...

What happened to English immersion? A 4 year old will learn English quickly. The kid barely even speaks Spanish.
Who doubts that our own government is out to crush Americans? I don’t. The traitors in the government need to be arrested and put on trial.

I would hope you are correct but this story has been running for days.
If he was Chinese (or whatever) and the kid was the sole speaker of Tagalog in the county, the county would have unquestionably hired a translator.
But English? Not so much.
Things are so bad and backwards these days I believe it.

I was trying to reinforce how bad things are getting if American citizens are told to hire translators for their kid to learn to speak the original language.

Why does she have to pay? Spanish speaking children get government funded ESL teachers when they attend school.
Ten years ago, I would have doubted the veracity of this story. Not any longer. It’s on, and we’re late to the game. Very late. Perhaps too late, given what sudden, massive changes in demography can do to a civilization.
Or vice versa, great opportunity for the American 4 y.o. to learn Spanish.
English immersion doesn’t work too well with the entire group of pupils speaking the same language, even if the teachers stick to English.
