Tim Walz makes first visit to Lancaster {PA} but doesn't take questions

LANCASTER, Pa. —

Minnesota Governor and Democratic Vice-Presidential nominee Tim Walz visited the Republican stronghold of Lancaster County, as polls show the presidential race to be razor close in Pennsylvania.

Walz landed at Lancaster Airport on Wednesday and then headed to Cherry Hill Orchards, talking with manager Ryan Shenk and buying whoopie pies and apple cider donuts. He later delivered the treats to volunteers and staff at Lancaster campaign headquarters.

Walz addressed the tragic school shooting in Georgia and then thanked volunteers for their work, saying "We're thankful for all of you. Let's go win this thing."

Walz also got on the phone with voters.

He did not take questions, including from News 8, about what a Harris-Walz administration would do to lower prices and improve the economy. He did say their administration would put policies in place to "protect reproductive rights, strengthen public schools, invest in infrastructure and jobs."

Walz then headed to Pittsburgh, where he stopped at the Milkshake Factory and attended another event.

He will campaign in Erie on Thursday.
