Former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo is set to testify next week before a House committee investigating his administration’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic — including an infamous mandate that forced infected patients into nursing homes.
The House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic announced Tuesday that it was preparing to question the ex-New York governor on Sept. 10 about the “unscientific guidance” that led to the deaths of thousands of senior citizens.
“Andrew Cuomo owes answers to the 15,000 families who lost loved ones in New York’s nursing homes during the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Subcommittee Chairman Brad Wenstrup (R-Ohio).
The COVID subcommittee has already conducted a closed-door transcribed interview with Cuomo in June, during which the governor came across as “shockingly callous,” Wenstrup added.

Something to keep in mind.
In mid-March of 2020, Trump had CMS change its regs to allow residential care facilities to refuse to take back sick CoupFlu patients from the hospital if the facilities needed to refuse.
In May, Cuomo ordered patients sent back anyway, even though federal regs allowed facilities the ability to refuse.
The vast majority of facilities complied even though they could refuse thanks to the change in federal regs.
The rumor is that Albany threatened families with increased inspections and regulations if they refused to take back the patients.
Our state legislature did NOTHING to stop Cuomo.
If Congress is serious about the investigation, they should look at this angle. I can tell them where to start: Steuben County.

BTW, Cuomo want the only gov who ordered Tham sent back.
Whitmer did it, too.
So did Tim Walz.

And not one legislature intervened.
And neither did Congress.

That war criminal has lots of company.
Including the people now saying they are investigating.
Kabuki theater is getting him out of office on sexual charges and not murder! NY did not want to go down that road.

IIRC, Fauci told Cuomo how to cheat so these deaths didn't show up as nursing home deaths.
The change in federal regs allowed the facilities the ability to refuse to take them back.
They took them back anyway.
Why?
Cuomo’s order?
BULL.
That was just a figleaf.
The real reason was threats of decreased funding, increased regulations, meaningful inspections.
The people operating those facilities were bought off/extorted.
They knuckled under to the threats.
They put people in their care in greater danger.
To my mind they ought to be in the dock alongside Cuomo.
Every single, sodding one of them.
We don’t know how many of those deaths were due to CoupFlu, how many were due to negligence on the part of the facilities, how many were due to patients being denied contact with family and friends, how many were the result of natural causes.
We don’t freaking know.
My bet is a lot of those deaths weren’t actually from CoupFlu.
And, if I’m right, that opens a whole nuther can of worms, doesn’t it...
We do know who did or did not have Covid...
I gently suggest we don’t know that, either.
The PCR tests were and are crap.
And even the blood tests may have been unreliable at the time, too.
