ROME — Pope Francis has consecrated his monthly prayer intention to “the cry of the earth” this September, urging Christians to feel the earth’s “pain.”
“If we took the planet’s temperature, it will tell us that the Earth has a fever,” the pontiff contends. “And it is sick, just like anyone who’s sick.”
But are we listening to this pain?” he asks.
“Do we hear the pain of the millions of victims of environmental catastrophes?” he continues. “The ones suffering most from the consequences of these disasters are the poor, those who are forced to leave their homes because of floods, heat waves or drought.”
Like many today, the pope places the blame for global warming firmly on the shoulders of humanity, insisting that it is principally human action that causes a warming environment.

Let me rewrite the pope’s gibberish to make it more relevant to his real duties:
“Do we hear the pain of the millions of victims of abortion on demand? The ones suffering most from the consequences of these disasters are the poor babies who are torn limb from limb in their mothers’ wombs in the name of convenience and choice. Do we listen to their pain?”
Just sayin', I'm a devout RC, and I've been wondering if he's just getting near the end. So maybe that's why he feels the smoldering, unquenchable fires warming the very ground beneath his feet. And it's not global warming, or even the molten core of the earth.
Perhaps some mysterious, warm place below is looking forward to receiving him, and he should be prudent and get his a** to Confession--and not with a Modernist crank like him, but a real priest with some of the old-fashioned ideas he hates. And he should block out some time for this on his busybody calendar right away, because it will probably take a while, and the time may be short.
