WashPost Op-Ed: Kamala Harris Should Use Migration to Grow the Economy
Breitbart ^ | 08/31/2024 | Neil Munro

Vice President Kamala Harris should promise to grow the U.S. economy by importing more migrant workers, consumers, and renters, according to a pro-migration op-ed writer at the Washington Post.

“Legal immigration is a critical component of economic growth and solvency for our entitlement programs,” columnist Jennifer Rubin declared on August 27.

“There is no shortage of good ideas, ranging from dropping outdated country caps to granting foreign STEM graduates green cards to clearing the green-card backlog to increased visas for seasonal workers,” Rubin added, without acknowledging the alternative strategy of growing the economy by raising Americans’ productivity.

Yes, it’s our longtime RINO nemesis Jennifer Rubin. When are these establishment Repuke idiots going to realize the GOP is no longer theirs to control. They need to either join their Democrat buddies or form their own party.

Grow the economy.

By growing the net-tax user population.

Everything scarcer, the rich and the rentseekers get richer.

Growth is over-rated.

How about bring back sponsorship so if the new immigrant goes on the public dole the sponsor has to pay for it?

Right now, we have become so socialist that if the immigrant doesn't immediately earn above a median income he will likely be a net negative on taxes versus benefits. And that's true many times over if he brings in a few niños and niñas that will go to public school at over $15,000 per year each.

From the WaPo: A National Academies report looked at immigrants who arrived between 2006 and 2013 and projects that over 75 years, each will contribute an average of $330,000 more in taxes than they and their descendants will receive in benefits.

Do you think that's true? I don't think that's true.

That's not the issue.

We're talking about illegal immigration.

And a lack of borders.

Yeah, Jen...

Because the people who walked hundreds of miles through several countries just to claim asylum here because they feared for their lives in their home country are really the productive businesses types who could have been a part of the ruling class in their own countries but decided to throw it all away to pay Mexican drug cartel coyotes to smuggle them into the United states...

When I first read this I thought it was the Babylon Bee. I wish she would say this.

Grow the economy by importing MORE migrant workers? Thereby displacing more of the working class blacks, whites, Asians, Latinos who are already here trying to make a living?

Yeah, she’ll grow the US economy. (Sarc)

No, this will be another step closer to Communism.

The average loss to taxpayers by illegals is $68,000. With 42 BILLION DOLLARS in welfare bennies over all. Public education costs in 2019 were only $68.1 Billion. Add in 7 Billion for emergency servvices.

Multiply that by some 20 million or more and tell me how that grows the economy.

Increasing STEM immigration is what PDJT called for years ago as uneducated immigration increased but demand for educated workers increased and uneducated American workers decided they didn’t want to learn STEM. But he was then universally condemned as a racist.
