“...you don’t want the bandage to get stuck to the wound.”

When I had my carpel tunnel surgery I bled a lot. My whole hand and up my arm turned black & blue. I thought my bandage would stick after the blood dried up, but it didn’t.

It appears bleeding has ceased. What is there is seepage from that first day. I think the reason for me not to change the bandage is to avoid disturbing the graft. They’ll change it next Friday when I go in for follow-up. I do have detailed instructions and an antibiotic ointment on what to do if the bandage comes loose and I do have to change it.

Oh that sounds painful! How are the hands doing now, no more numbness?
