Doing pretty crazy here going forward and backward.
Spent the last two days trying to locate a used wheelchair.
made several dozens of calls the past two days and visited nine places.
and today finally had success. A used wheelchair has been in storage bin for two years and the arms need repair, but really sturdy a really well built a good quality I went to nine different places and made dozens of calls. One person wanted $150 decent wheelchair but one of the flimsy indoor ones not the sturdy heavy duty ones that could go in and out
Another $95 missing a wheel !!! what ???
one for $75 dollars was missing both of the feet rest
but lots of visits rural Hall Danville Mount airy Patterson, carver area , but finally found the jackpot in Louisville.
Will have to clean it up and get those pool Worms to put on the arms to replace the worn away arm rests !it’ll work. It’s very heavy though getting in and out of the van is going to be a chore.
I’m also wading through paperwork. Mostly government related. Jeff does not have Medicaid yet, but it is still in application
.he has something called well care. (kinda Medicaid lite) It will have the same number, but it is not Medicaid and so consequently a lot of stuff we could have we can’t have - so I’m still jumping through their hoops.
Jeff has a court case on Tuesday , the advice I had from his caseworker was to ask for a continuance and to ask for a court appointed attorney who will weigh through the paperwork of medical stuff and try to give the reasoning why the community service wasn’t done -not looking at all to have it excused, but just delayed until he’s able to walk and is halfway healthy .
Right now he has an appointment Friday in Kernersville Novant hospital at noon to have the paracentesis —that’s the drainage of the abdominal area. Can you say huge?
He is huge and needs the drainage but also doing blood work at the same time. His potassium level is very low and hopefully will be able to get needed infusion the same day .
I have several years worth -mounds of paperwork I’m going through . A huge pile on Jeffs coffee table - his filing system

trying to get him the benefits he’s entitled to. I have absolutely no guilt when I know that people walking across the border are getting thousands and thousands of dollars of benefits plus free housing, education, and medical — that really pisses me off in lite of what we’re dealing with ,
forgive the rant, but that’s where I’m at.
Try to up on organizing some of his paperwork and bills . I had all caught up for him in 2021 but now it’s several years later.
thankfully he’s eating a little bit. I’ve been trying to give him Healthy foods among the fun stuff he enjoys. I’ve made salmon baked potato, spinach salad with a lot of vegetables hidden in blended form in marinara pasta(SHHH don’t tell him.) he is quite thin. I look at his very thin arms and legs and face and remember the bodybuilder from many years back. The only thing that’s big is his stomach. Maybe on Friday will deliver a baby. Huh?
I know he’s discouraged and depressed. He’s not had anything to drink since that last day he went to the hospital.
Summer and Shannon took him and he had a beer on his table and he took one last sip.
That’s it.
So it’s about two months sober
now 5 1/2 more months if he is still living, maybe talking about a live liver transplant. I’ll be donor
I try to encourage him by telling him he needs to make sure he’s at Salem‘s high school graduation and he’s there to watch her get married and he’s there to watch Hudson play baseball.
He really loves his daughter. He really loves his two grandchildren. He loves his ex ms Shannon He really loved and misses incredibly —a lot, his son Jayce

How sad for Jeff. I feel so badly for him. If only he could turn back the hands of time. I hope you can get every benefit for him that’s possible....and I hope he turns a corner and gets encouraged enough to keep on keeping on. It must help him to be able to see his daughter, grands and x wife now and again as well.
