To all our military men and women, past and present,
THANK YOU
for your service!
Uh oh! Not good losing power from storms. I hope they get beachie’s power back on a LOT sooner than happened here a couple of months ago. It’s REALLY not fun losing all of the cold and frozen foods.
I see you finally have some sunshine up there. WOOHOO!
Evening, Kathy. Gut Shabbos!
Good evening, Pro...bad enough thunderstorms on the east coast to knock out beachy’s power. Not fun at all.
We are starting to see blue sky. The cloud displays all around me have been really cool all day.
Ruh-Roh. I hope she has electricity before long. Thanks for stepping in, Kathy.
Thanks Kathy, it’s getting towards Fall temps here and this morning I turned on my heat for the first time, happens every end of August.
Howdy, luvie.
I hope the radar isn’t lyin’ tonight. It shows RAIN over your town!
I’m JEEEAAALOOOUUUSSS! LOL The last thing on anyone’s mind around here is using a heater. Must be nice to be cool enough to need one.
Good evening, radu...hope you got to see some of the clouds this morning.
As I drove to work this morning they were different everywhere I looked. Really low across the mountains.
Hope your day wasn’t too hot...and now out comes the sun.
Hey there, Kathy.
Yes, I did see the clouds this morning. They were crazy and beautiful over the mountains around 10:00. By 11 or so, they’d dropped down and swallowed the mountains.
And you’re right. They’ve been different in each direction all day and still are. A very interesting sky day up there.
It was another hazy day here with a couple of small rain showers blowing up not too far off. No rain here though. Just a very toasty 98 degrees this afternoon.
I went out to check the mailbox around 7:30 and heard what I thought was railroad machinery. They've been working on the rails lately and should be about to reach the stretch that runs past here. But then I remembered trains have been rolling through all day which means they're taking a break from the work.
Could it be ....? YES!! It was the combine in the field in front of the old house! I zoomed in for this shot.
Got this shot around 8:15 from the front porch right after they started getting the corn from the field in front of this house. No zoom this time.
By 9:30, they were finished and the different vehicles lit things up out front like a Christmas tree.
It'll look strange tomorrow when I look out in daylight and see the road again. I haven't seen it for a few months.
Yay! Finally a little moisture for y’all. Based on what I’ve seen, you’ll get more next week - - like rain for a few days.
Quite a bit cooler there tonight than here. It’s still 80 degrees.
Thanks, Kathy.
Now there are some hard-working farmers. Don’t blame them for working in the evening when it’s got to be a bit cooler there.
You are going to miss your barrier! Now the trains will sort of sound like they’re roaring through the kitchen till you get used to it again. LOL!
Oh...and it IS raining again. Nice and slow. I am happy.
