I am sure Pete butt face will make a statement shortly.
DIE Minority Hires.
Wow, prayers up for the families. So sad. You don’t expect to go to work and have that happen.
DEI has to just DIE.
We used to refill the tires in a metal cage to prevent that. Same with big truck tires. Those rings will cut a man in two if they let go.
???? How is that? Source?
Years ago I worked at the airport in Miami. An Eastern Airlines mechanic was killed when a tire exploded. I’ve never forgotten that, and to this day I won’t put air in my car’s tires...and I won’t stand near whoever is doing it.
Watched too many YT vids of idiots seating tires to wheels by way of starter fluid?
How terrible
It works great. Until it doesn't.
Thanks for explaining the process.
“DIE Minority Hires.”
On FR everything is because of DIE.
Your car tires are OK, aircraft rims are split rims like the old tractor trailer tires used to be. They can be dangerous.

The only thing I can think of that could case a blowout on the plane is a wheel with a hot brake. Even then, the wheel rim has a thermal fuse.
I'm guessing the tire/wheel assy was being pressurized in the shop after mounting and somebody got careless with the nitrogen pressure.
Not true. Much is the result of Covid shots.
Covid, with a side-order of DIE.
Regards,
An aircraft tire pressure is 190-200 psi. Most cars are 32-36 psi
Then considering the amount of square inches in the much larger tire, the penitential energy is immensely greater.

I know may FReepers including myself cringe when we hear leftist union types saying stuff like that, but unfortunately there is often a lot of truth to it.
I loathe MBA types running technical operations, nothing good ever comes of it.
