Former Congresswoman and Democratic Party politician Tulis Gabbard is endorsing former President Donald J. Trump’s bid to retake the White House in the November 2024 presidential election.
Speaking alongside Trump at the 2024 National Guard Association of the United States General Conference & Exhibition before 4,000 attendees, Gabbard—a United States Army Reserve officer who represented Hawaii in Congress from 2013 to 2021—announced she is bucking the partisan divide and backing Trump over Kamala Harris.

OOOOOPS!
Sorry for the double post!
So many seem to be mesmerized by her, for some reason. I only know she’s been a radical leftist her entire political career.
It will take some convincing for me to become a devoted fan, and I’m not sure it’s going to happen.
thought she previously endorsed. endorse is fine.
Hell No to any cabinet position
.
She does look fine in a bikini

Second row of pictures are of Padma Lakshmi. Long-standing confusion. First row is Gabbard.
You can listen to her speech today here.

Trump needs to find a place for her in his administration. Something to do with the military.
Are you giving Kamala the same grace you're giving Tulsi? Kamala was against fracking, now she's changed her mind. She wanted to get rid of private health insurance, now she doesn't. Do you believe Kamala has changed her mind? If not, then why do you believe Tulsi?
I'm the kind of guy who prefers Trump align himself with people who have always supported the 2A, have never endorsed Bernie Sanders for POTUS, and who were not the Vice Chair of the DNC. You must be the other kind of guy.
One last fact: during her time in Congress Tulsi had an "F" rating with the NRA and 100% rating with the Brady Campaign. NO THANK YOU!
You make some good points, and ask some good questions. I would like to answer properly, but at the moment I am out grocery shopping and only have my phone. I will write a proper response when I get back home later tonight. Thank you for your thoughtful comment.
I interpret that turnaround this way. Hawaii is insanely Democrat -- it's arguably even more left/liberal than California. I believe that a young, idealistic, moderate liberal, Gabbard was drawn to the Dem party by its moderate past, and became disillusioned by its radical present. She was elected as a "representative" of her state, and her state was leftist, and so she espoused and supported leftist positions.
But she was clearly uneasy with that, to the point where she forcefully renounced the Dem party and its positions, in the strongest terms, and encouraged others to do the same. Do I believe that her conversion was sincere? I do. More on this below.

Gabbard was raised in a bi-religious traditional two-parent home -- Catholic and Hindu. She believes in God and has strong spiritual and religious convictions that inform her decisions. She is fiercely patriotic, still serving in the US Military (21 years), and has done duty overseas. Her positions have changed as she has gained real-world experience and seen the damage done by leftist policies.
Harris was raised by her single mother. Harris whored her way into political power by servicing a powerful politician, and accepted high pay for her favors. Her actions as a DA and law maker have been cynical and hurtful. Her positions have changed with the political winds -- she is ambitious and mean, but she's not stupid; she knows which side her bread is buttered on. Yes, she "changed her mind" but it was just another convenience; I don't believe her earlier "positions" were any more sincere than the new ones.
So for those reasons, I tend to view Gabbard and forthright and sincere in her statements and positions, and I tend to view Harris as an insincere liar who will say and do anything for power.
> ...during her time in Congress Tulsi had an "F" rating with the NRA and 100% rating with the Brady Campaign
I don't doubt it, given her positions on firearms -- at that time, representing an anti-gun constituency. But here's one of her CURRENT statements, taken from her book:
"Our Founders intentionally passed the Second Amendment right after the First. They knew how fragile this new, free democracy was, and how susceptible it would be to those who sought to abuse their power and take away our freedom. We must defend our right to bear arms, not only for recreational purposes, but to defend ourselves and our loved ones, and to serve as a check on the abuse of power by an increasingly tyrannical government."My guess is that the NRA and Brady ratings, if done today, would be very different from previous.
