The phrase has troubled liberals who think it is a call for a return to an America before civil rights, gay rights, and women's rights. But I have a more generous interpretation, one that is truer to my experience of Donald Trump as he is today. "Make America Great Again" recalls a nation brimming with vitality, with a can-do spirit, with hope and a belief in itself. It was an America that was beginning to confront its darker shadows, could acknowledge the injustice in its past and present, yet at the same time could celebrate its successes. It was a nation of broad prosperity, the world's most vibrant middle class, and a idealistic belief (though not consistently applied) in freedom, justice, and democracy. It was a nation that led the world in innovation, productivity, and technology. And it was the healthiest country in the world. I have talked to many Trump supporters. I have talked with his inner circle. I have talked to the man himself. This is the America they want to restore.
As RFK’s uncle said more than 60 years ago-—
“”Ask not what your country can do for you. Ask what you can do for your country.””
RFK, Jr. has taken that advice to heart. I know he’s a complete loon on many important issues but I could not respect the man anymore than I do today.
One more detail to this…. Nicole Shanahan was RFK’s running mate for president and she posted this comment. https://x.com/NicoleShanahan/status/1827532955834830887
Bottom line is that it certainly appears that both she and RFK were on board what was done.... this statement is about as strong encouragement as it gets that of RFK’s supporters should immediately move to PDJT and support him.
America was great in 1960 when Ike was in office.
Health care and chronic diseases are huge issues that vast numbers of people and families struggle with and care about. What could be more important? Bringing down the numbers through prevention would be an enormously impactful accomplishment for any politician or party to boast about. And likely so.
Its a righteous, noble and even attainable objective. This should be a centerpiece of Trump’s agenda IMHO.
Yep
Little did we know how one event in November would mess up the nation and the world
The burden our generation bears is we remember what America was like before the leftists cast us down into hell.

Dear Americans, please pay attention to what’s happening in Europe right now. The globalist takeover is happening at an incredibly fast pace over here.
France just arrested Pavel Durov, founder & CEO of Telegram.
The UK is locking up its own citizens for years and years for the ‘crime’ of standing up against mass migration and writing posts about it online.
In the meantime Europeans keep getting randomly stabbed by immigrants on a daily basis and since the legacy media does nothing but protect the establishment and hide the truth from us, their next main goal is to ban @X, The only platform where we can find and speak the truth.
It’s so clear what they’re doing and frankly it’s not looking good for us - especially because we don’t have a Second Amendment that could protect us against tyranny.
So please, vote wisely in November. For your sake and ours: Vote for @realDonaldTrump

Nicole Shanahan’s X statement...
Taking some time with family this weekend to love on them for their unwavering support these past few months, but I wanted to take a minute to jump on here and share some of my thoughts. Like millions of others, I watched Bobby’s speech yesterday, followed by the rally where he stood with President Trump. I was moved to tears. I remain optimistic and vigilant that the partnership made will be honored, and that lasting reforms in government credibility and competency will be built through this coalition. I’m also thinking about all the incredible Team Kennedy volunteers and supporters who poured their hearts and souls into this movement—I am with you—your dedication, your hard work, sweat, and tears lifted up the most impactful third-party campaign of this generation, and is giving birth to a renewed nation. This is just the beginning. The future of our country now rests in the hands of the American people, who must choose between freedom or control, health or poverty, peace or war, unity or division. The choice is ours—let’s choose wisely.
Essentially, MAGA is American nationalism vs Uniparty internationalism at the cost of American exceptionalism.
“ Little did we know how one event in November would mess up the nation and the world.”
Little did we know that one statement, “ you mean your Christian faith?” would change the world.
If he and Trump and Vance can really make an impact on the areas they have in common - free speech, food quality, chronic disease, out of control regulations, border security, stopping endless wars to name the biggest - we will have a country in 4 years and can argue about who gets to run it next.
If not - well, none of this will matter.
Which is why I don’t give a flying eff when someone whines that “Kennedy is a liberal”.
Some said the same about Trump in 2016 and I recall a great man replied right on this forum: “Sounds pretty conservative to me”.
I think she was extremely invested (beyond the 10s of millions she put in) in creating a viable 3rd party and that makes this feel like a setback. But in fact it could well accelerate the MAGA/MAHA movement to become a more viable alternative. Maybe the day will come when we shed the “GOP”label and let Mitt Romney and Karl Rove have the dwindling 10 or 11% of diehards and neocons, they can run Liz Cheney for President with Linda Graham as her Veep ;-)
Just saying, this is a Yuge Deal and the full impact cannot be seen at this time. Truly a game-changer, I predict.
Wow, that’s one heck of a great statement from Nicole Shanahan.
I’m now thinking the RFK Jr. alliance won’t just add a couple points to MAGA numbers. The message that RFK Jr. is delivering about health and American greatness adds vigor and breadth to the movement. Americans are going to respond and vote for it.
