Colorado Sen. John Hickenlooper (D) said Wednesday that he will run for reelection just once.
“I’m only gonna do two terms,” Hickenlooper told Punchbowl News’ Andrew Desiderio. “I’ve said it first here, two-term limit, oath of conscience.”
Hickenlooper, the state’s former governor, gained a seat in the upper chamber by way of winning a key race against former Sen. Cory Gardner (R-Colo.) in 2020.
“There should be more people that are involved in local, municipal politics and governing and state politics and governing, who [get] into the Senate so that they bring those experiences with ‘em,” said Hickenlooper, who has also served as mayor of Denver.
Hickenlooper briefly ran for president in 2020.

Except one term was too many for this ‘RAT.
Yeah, we’ll see... they always came back and I say I have a calling to finish...(usually destruction in their unfinished business).
Translation: I’ve got bigger offers in the private sector.
When he was governor (or running for that office), he swore up and down that he would discuss any new gun bans with Colorado's county sheriffs BEFORE signing anything into law. He flat out lied - with Chickenlooper, it's always an oath of convenience, not "conscience".
Is he in I company?
“Oath of conscience”? Name me one Rat Party politician that has a conscience! As his second term draws to a close he’ll announce “many thousands of people across the state have urged me to run again”. And he will.
Looking at Feinstein, McCain, Spector, and Ted Kennady has to give one pause.
Watch him change his mind once Chuckie nukes the filibuster.
Hmmmm. Wonder when the lifetime pension kicks in...Maybe a day after getting elected to a second term......
Exactly. They will always find a rationale to stay in office for another term. Some even say “too much at stake” to leave and only the Lord Almighty can convince them to quit.
