Sununu: ‘Almost Any Other Republican Candidate Would Be Winning this Race by 10 Points’
Breitbart ^ | 08/18/2024 | Pam Key

Governor Chris Sununu (R-NH) said Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union” that “almost any other Republican” than former President Donald Trump would win the presidential race by 10 points.

On Fox News, Nikki Haley said, “One thing Republicans have to stop, quit whining about her. The campaign is not going to win talking about crowd sizes. It’s not going to win talking about what race Kamala Harris is. It’s not going to win talking about whether she’s dumb. It’s not. You can’t win on those things.”

He’s correct, but it’s irrelevant because Trump is the one losing.

Not that different from Don Lemon telling residents of AC that the economy is just fine under Biden/Harris.

Trump must make a more consistent effort, thru example and illustration, using economics and historical references in his speaking, to demonstrate how the leftists’ plans and procedures fail.

Trump must be more able to explain, well, such as present-day U.S. Senator from Tennessee, Bill Hagerty can . . . and President Ronald Reagan could.

How, exactly?

Funny. I was a big fan of his dad because Sr. was such an a—hole to reporters. Did himself in over postage stamps I believe. They don’t look alike. Are they really related?

It’s a shame. A senate seat there is his for the taking. I’d let him get away with being Susan Collins in drag as we need more butts in the seats with an R. His mouth is too big. That’s Hogan’s problem.

Depends on the candidate. Romney or McCain will do worse.

DeSantis will do better. He'll keep the MAGA base but at the same time he'll be able to appeal to the independents so the ceiling is higher.

Anyway, it doesn't matter.

Sununu had his chance to test that theory with Romney in 2012 - and the inoffensive Republican surrendered in the second debate and wound up getting beaten by the worst President in US history.

Without a Trump in the race, the important issues will not even be discussed.

No matter who the Republican is the same vitriol and hatred is spewed forth from the mouths of the media whores. They hated Romney, they hated Reagan, the pay hated Dole, They hated McCain.

“Trump must make a bla bla bla bla bla bla…’

And that would have tge effect on the media that Trey would tell the truth about this race, how, exactly?

Unlikely since the republicans would lose a sizable chunk of the Trump fans. Neocon Nikki would have crashed and burned since a lot of republicans don’t want to go back to the Bush era.
No matter who the republicans nominated I doubt the news media would suddenly start being nice to them.

I agree. DeSantis would be comfortably ahead. Trump remains his own worst enemy. He just got chastised by the VFW for stupid comments about military medals.

Do it the way we tell you to do it!

Of course the media is going to continue to attempt to quiesce President Trump. What all the whiners continue to ignore is the media does not focus on the issues President Trump discusses. That is mundane and doesn't generate coverage, and is minimalized by the media because it actually hurts the dems.

The methods deployed by President Trump keep him and his agenda front and center, much to the chagrin of the left, squishy RINO’s, and the clueless in general.
