The FBI is pushing back after a Republican's startling discovery that Donald Trump shooter Thomas Matthew Crooks' body had been quietly cremated.
Rep. Clay Higgins, R-La., a member of Congress' bipartisan task force reviewing the tragic July 13 assassination attempt, unveiled that Crooks' body is 'gone' in an independent report released this week.
Higgins, a former police captain, wrote that he 'caused quite a stir' when attempting to review Crooks' corpse which 'revealed a disturbing fact.'
It was at this point that he learned that the FBI had 'released the body for cremation 10 days' after the shooting in Butler, Pennsylvania, on July 13.
But the FBI denies the Republican's insinuation that they are obstructing the probe.
'Any suggestion the FBI is interfering with congressional efforts to look into the attempted assassination which took place in Butler, Pennsylvania, is inaccurate and unfounded,' an FBI spokesperson told DailyMail.com.

“inaccurate and unfounded” does not mean false. Inaccurate can simply mean that its not totally false and unfounded simply means it cannot be proven-yet.
I don’t believe a damn thing coming out of Wray’s mouth or the mouth of any of his thugs. The FBI is a crime syndicate that the Mob only wishes it could have been.
Why would a county morgue and ME keep a body after they did their autopsy? Which takes hours not days. The cause of death was the giant bullet hole where his front teeth used to be that’s clear from images. They drew blood and sent it off for.toxicology, opened up the internal organs cavity and opened up what’s left of the cranium. Having witnessed a few autopsies it’s not a multi day process at all. Once they were done they had a legal and moral obligation to release the remains to the next of kin which is exactly what they did. It was his next of kin who chose to cremate and why not his head was not in open casket condition. The tinfoil brigade is really reaching for something here. There was nothing more legally to be gathered. Congressmen from out of state don’t have the jurisdiction nor the right to hold a body from a family. Even the congressmen from Pennsylvania don’t have the jurisdiction it’s not their field of work. They can review the federal investigation records and methods of they chose too that’s it.
