Volodymyr Zelenskiy said the head Ukraine’s armed forces, Oleksandr Syrskyi, reported to him the “successful liberation of the city of Sudzha from Russian forces.”
The town had a prewar population of around 5,000 people, the Associated Press reported. It holds a measuring station for Russian natural gas that flows through Ukrainian pipelines.
“A Ukrainian military commandant’s office is being established there,” Zelenskiy said, adding that “several other settlements have also been liberated. In total, more than eighty.”
Ukrainian state TV aired footage on Wednesday of its troops pulling down a Russian flag from an official building in Sudzha.

British ministers and officials have repeatedly stated that it’s up to Ukraine to decide how it uses UK supplied weapons.
But questions about restrictions have heightened with Ukraine’s recent incursion inside Russia.
The Ministry of Defence says there’s been no change in policy, though it’s not giving any detail of what British supplied weapons are being used in this latest offensive.

Nah, it is not about Moscow; this is about war-weary troops around Crimea being redeployed to take back the Kusrk salient. You could see the whole Western push crumble and Ukraine taking back their country entirely. Then what????? I think that happens, and Putin punts and comes to the table. No Ukraine in NATO and Russia agree to back down and agrees to loan petrodollars to their former Slavic brothers. Do we have a territorial stalemate, and what a million dead at this point for Putin’s adventuring? We don’t think here in the West like they do on the steppes.

Putin will not be embarrassed into going to the deal table. He’s KGB and hardheaded. He still wants to recoup the glory days of the old Soviet Union, so, he’d rather die a fool thn to surrender to the west. Putin will not deal away his ‘reputation’. It’s his way of the highway.

Cuz Ukraine charges huge fees for the fuel that goes through their lines. The existing contract with Russia ends soon. Ukraine said they will NOT renew...but I wouldn’t bet on that.

Zelenskiy will be soon in charge of all of Russia.
