I am sure that such entities and operations exist, but my immediate thought was this is cover to purge anti-xi factions within China by xi. Dictators like Putin, Stalin and Xi become more and more detached and paranoid as time goes on
There always has to be an external threat for these characters, Jews, the west/nato, and Taiwan…..
It is almost refreshing to read “journalism” from another part of the word - an article written by the government and for the government. There is no “allegedly” or scare-quotes. They are simply spies, and the government outlays the wondrous things it is doing to ferret them out.
