US threatens ‘swift and severe’ response if Iran sends ballistic missiles to Russia

The State Department warned that there would be a “swift and severe” response if Iran were to send ballistic missiles to Russia, following reports that the country plans to send hundreds of the satellite-guided weapons to Moscow soon.

Reuters reported Friday that Iran is planning to ship ballistic missiles to Russia “soon,” citing multiple European intelligence sources, adding that Iran is already training Russian forces on how to use the Fath-360 close-range ballistic missile system.

Responding to that report, State Department spokesperson Vedant Patel said Monday that the U.S. would quickly respond to any such transfer.

“We’ve been warning of the deepening security partnership between Russia and Iran since the onset of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, this partnership threatens European security and illustrates how Iran’s destabilizing influence reaches beyond the Middle East and around the world,” he said.

Iran is making ballistic missiles with North Korean technology. That is superior to the Russians ballistic missile tech. Iran sends Norks oil to pay for this ballistic missile tech. Irans seem decent at manufacturing weaponry. What they lacked were the blueprints the Norks sold them.

After all this, the Russians buy some missiles from Iran.

Russia’s production capacity is history.
Any intelligent Russian man got
the heck out of there.
Russians aren’t stupid.
Neither are Ukrainians.
Putin is counting on pure dumb shit
waste of life to get what he wants.
He may win in the short term, he has the numbers,
however in the long run Russia has been
deeply wounded.
It will be begging for help.
Y’all chased off your men.

Of course, a point of actual reality to be considered. Nothing of the slightest interest to you. You can ignore it and continue making imbecilic remarks about how technologically inept the current Russian military is.

I disagree with the production capacity as there are plenty of Russians that Putin doesn’t want to send to war that will be working steadily on arms production as Russia has been on a war footing for a few years now. They can produce alright, but production isn’t all there is to that story either.

I do agree that they have been wounding themselves, but to what extent? They’ve emptied out their prisons and used those undesirables as cannon fodder, along with plenty of the low rung men and women in their society. Putin probably has taken advantage of the situation to relieve Russia of many tens of thousands of “commoners” that he looks down upon as a drag upon Russia.

Such has it always been for dictators who have too many mouths to feed. Start a war.

Nobody listens to the pussies in the US Dept of State.

Certainly this statement will not effect Iranian or Russian policy.

Nope. Russia is like two or three generations ahead of the US.

Iranian is more like a technologically superior version of HIMARS that has advantage over Russian systems on price.

Do you realize that Russia has more than 20 chip manufacturers? Russia also can make tooling required to make chips. The US doesn’t have the capability to make most chips, and no capability to make tools whatsoever hence the hysteria over Taiwan.

Nope. Russia is like two or three generations ahead of the US.

In what? They have one aircraft carrier (with a ski ramp!), and they can't even let it out of dry dock. They have to keep their super-fancy 'stealth' aircraft out of Ukraine, for fear that the old rusty crap we gave Ukraine will shoot down the few planes they managed to build. How many men have they put on the moon? Hell, they still use the same expendable rocket/vehicle as 50 years ago. The only thing they halfwhat have advantage on in short-medium range hypersonics, but that's not really that significant of a problem.

Russian technology is kicking NATO’s “wonder weapons” asses all over Ukraine.

Huh? Russia is only barely "winning" due to sheer numbers of conscipts and artillery. Their advanced jets don't even fly near Ukraine cause they're scared of the obsolete stuff we've given Ukraine.
