Oh you can tell they are not happy. I heard several talking heads on the radio this morning taking digs on the whole thing, saying it was boring and unorganized, and the Musk is a terrible interviewer. Also digs on them claiming it was a cyber attack that delayed it.

I didn't watch/hear the X discussion by the way.

But to cut slightly under the message, what they are saying is that it wasn't a professional media event. They would not call themselves establishment media pundits, but they tip their hand when they have that take.

To cut deeper and read into their subconscious a bit, I think it scares them and makes them fume. Trump in a more candid situation, with a guy that a lot of millennials and even Gen-Zers look up to and bought his stocks.
These people really really really want to maintain control!

As my colleague Bonchie reported, Axios’ Sara Fischer on CNN complained about President Trump having an unfettered microphone with Elon Musk on X.

The Monday night conversation hails Trump’s return to the X (formerly Twitter) platform where he was unceremoniously booted almost four years before, and it has the entire legacy media complex shook.

My Twitchy colleague PolitiBunny is quite correct. They despise the fact that they are on the outside looking in. You can hear the sarcasm dripping from Fischer’s voice when she says, “Online fringe.” This online fringe she dismisses represents a YUGE and probably untapped voting bloc.

The “edgelord influencers,” make up a young and MALE segment of voters who have huge online followings, eschew TikTok, and promote alpha males. Trump and his VP running mate JD Vance have been speaking to these influencers and appearing on their podcasts and shows, so who knows how many have tuned in Monday night? So far, over 30 million people (and counting) have already plugged into Trump’s X conversation with Musk.
