Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump returned to Twitter/X on Monday, sharing several campaign videos and slogans ahead of a live interview with website owner Elon Musk tonight.
They spoke about the assassination attempt, the economy, the border, foreign policy, artificial intelligence and electric cars, nuclear war, education, climate change, lawfare, and the election.
Trump was banned from Twitter in the aftermath of the January 6, 2021, Capitol riot. Since Musk allowed him to return when he bought the social media platform in 2022, Trump has only posted once before today, a picture of his first mugshot last summer.
Twitter/X owner Elon Musk blamed the event not starting on time on a "massive DDOS attack" and said they are working on solving the problem.

I wonder if the DDOS attack came from the US government or the EU. Both?
I am wondering if the primary purpose of the “conversation” was to draw fire on the Internet so that they could trace the attacks and analyze the sources and methods.

Trump sounded like he was slurring. Might be the mic. Had some good points but did ramble, which is nothing new as that is his communication style.
Biggest concern isn’t the people that put up with the pain to listen (several cut outs, tech issues, etc), but the ones who are getting the reports via MSM. They are painting him as a rambling buffoon.
Not sure what the polls will say, but I did like the event.
It was the microphone, he had his head down looking at the phone.
The real power of the interview was the conversational tone, as opposed to the Left's idea of a dialogue (i.e., shut up while we tell you what to think).
I think the EU looks mighty foolish today. Maybe not to them (a Lefty is NEVER wrong! /S). To the rest of the world, their missive to Musk to censor Trump looks idiotically stupid after the fact...

What are you talking about? He sounded amazing and it was a perfect interview. Kamp Kamala had to be seething - sounds like you may have been right there with her.
By doing things like this, Trump is hitting a massive voting bloc that the media ignores. Something like 30 million watched it live. That’s pushing Rush Limbaugh numbers.
Trump demonstrated that EVERY LIE the enemedia says is FALSE. There was nothing scary, racist, anti-democratic, ignorant, fearful, nor malicious is what he said. On the contrary he was competent, articulate, pleasant, relaxed, and personable.

Like I said, it was a decent talk and one that I liked. How it plays for the rest of the voters is up in the air.
