The ‘Eagleton Affair’ may not come immediately to mind, except to those who either were old enough to vote in 1972 or are true students of history and politics. Thomas Eagleton was then a 42-year-old senator from Missouri who became George McGovern’s fifth or sixth choice for the VP slot after McGovern had secured the nomination. The more preferred choices had already said no to McGovern, probably the furthest Left candidate ever to run for the Presidency at that time. When so many say no, there is usually a good reason for doing so. McGovern was that reason.
Eagleton lasted about three weeks in total as the VP nominee. News had broken out that he had been under the care of a psychiatrist and had undergone shock therapy for depression. It soon became apparent that Eagleton was a bad choice, who would likely seal the fate of the fledgling McGovern candidacy. He was summarily dumped in favor of one Sargent Shriver, a member of the Kennedy Family by marriage.
The parallels with today’s situation, (shall we term it the ‘Walz affair’?) are unmistakable.
The stolen valor charge, true as it is, will likely not be the end of Harris-Walz ticket, but it does reveal something that reflects negatively on Kamala Harris and her team. If the Harris team is not capable of properly vetting a VP candidate, are they really ready to run the country? How could they have made such a mistake as Walz? Who chaired the selection committee?
Answer: Eric Holder.
When one speaks of people lacking moral convictions and willing to do what it takes to win, the name Eric Holder springs to mind. Additionally, when one thinks of people capable of making huge mistakes, Holder also tops the list.

Which may be the answer to why Kamala chose Holder, as both are more interested in either self-promotion or promotion of the radical Left agenda, than helping the country. These poor decisions have resulted in a controversy that her campaign did not need.
There is another possible answer, one as simple as she is: The woman is not ready, or capable, of being the President.
Eric “Dick” Holder is one revolting pile of runny dogsqueeze.
Apparently Kamala and her team did not see any problem with Minneapolis burning under Walz’s watch.
I would imagine folks who lived in that area may not have agreed.
Pretty sound article. Thanks for posting it.

Facts not in evidence. Kamala had a cesspool of candidates to pick from. The smart ones knew better than align themselves with The Ho. The Harris team had no time to investigate Walz, but if they did know of his Stolen Valor, they figured they would just ignore it.
Tossing Walz will add one more failure to Harris. She got zero votes in 2020 and zero votes in 2024. Unvetted, unqualified, and can't keep anyone around her.
No offense to the writer, but the left looks at ditching your military team as a badge of honor. Clearly “public service” is a higher, more noble calling than serving in the military and honoring your commitment.
Holder should be in prison for the “Fast & furious” fiasco alone. What a pos.
Remember—Walz was not just a member of a military team ditching his team.
He was the leader of the team.
No, let them continue to bleed out.
Right after McGovern dropped Eagleton, I flew off to Moscow for two weeks. The only media available there was from Communist sources, and none of them reported who his replacement was. I finally read in a German-language newsletter published by the Communist Party of Luxembourg that McGovern had chosen Shriver.
“The Harris team had no time to investigate Walz”
Probably true—but it is clear that a group of Internet sleuths have been able to dig up dirt by the dump truck full in just a few days—with hints of some real stinky sludge that has not been found yet.
Democrats hear “ stolen valor” and just hear the “stolen” part, thinking WOW! He’s one of ours! Of course some do ask… “where can I score me some stolen valor?”
Has Obama’s fingerprints all over it.
She wasn't ready or capable of being the San Fran DA or the CA AG either.
I don’t think Harris’ team gives a rip about ‘stolen valor’. To most of her supporters, ditching military service is likely a plus. Remember, Dems hate our country, and anyone who does harm to our country or its reputation is a ‘hero’ in their book.
I think Harris’ people are so sure that any possible votes for Trump can be overcome by fraud that there’s nothing that can derail her from the White House, no matter what is dredged up on Walz
And of course the MSM doesn’t mention his particularly dangerous DUI either.
You may be in for a surprise if they dump Walz.
I think that is a real possibility—the stolen valor will just be the excuse.
To be blunt—I think he molested high school kids in Nebraska and Minnesota. If the Trump team can prove it this is game, set and match.
As to the DUI it is the lying “I am deaf” that fits in with his overall pattern of lying about everything.
Young or older voters? I have to think that some may have a problem with this. It won’t win them votes.
