Make the ruskies defend THEIR territory for once.

Don't worry, they will. Russia has a pretty good track record. How many troops does Ukraine have?

"Operation Barbarossa, the German invasion of the Soviet Union on June 22, 1941, involved over 3.5 million German troops and nearly 700,000 German-allied troops. "

This is actually a much better tactic than head long assaults into well fortified positions that are murder zones for Ukraine recruits.

Actually, you could argue that Ukraine could go into Belarus and liberate the country from the occupiers. The Russians invaded Ukraine by using Belarusian territory so it's fair game.

Zeepers just can't or won't accept the fact that this little incrusion is jus a moral booster. You couldn't talk any sense into them then and you still can not now. They all fell for this and many more similar Ukraine escapades, but they bite on fiction every time and never acknowledge they were wrong.

Ghost of Kiev

"Two months after the story spread, the Ukrainian Air Force acknowledged that the fighter was a myth, and warned people not to "neglect the basic rules of information hygiene" and to "check the sources of information, before spreading it".[2][5][6] Experts have stated that stories such as Ghost of Kyiv are part of Ukrainian propaganda or a morale-boosting campaign, or potentially both.[7][8][9]" - wiki

I doubt the Russians will be demoralized by this incursion. I bet they’re super pissed off and will reciprocate appropriately.

Yeah nothing does more for morale than watching videos of hundreds of conscripts surrendering to your enemy without a fight.... as every Russian soldier with a smartphone now has.

What news? It’s more likely that it’s Ukraine propaganda. Sure, “Ukraine has the Russians reeling, they’re back on their heels, all hope is lost, yada yada yada.” Anyone rooting for this debacle to continue is seriously broken inside.

Not any more of a joke than the Zeepers here saying Ukraine was gonna whip Russia’s ass any day now. Everyone is an armchair quarterback during a war they’re not fighting in. And everyone has an opinion which they’re free to express on this forum. You don’t have to read their posts, but you also have no right to tell ppl to stop posting.

Humor from amateur Kremlinologists:

#Cubie has been put in charge of stopping the Ukrainian advance in Kursk. After the failure of dragons teeth and defensive trenches, Operation MEAT SHIELD will ensure that the offensive will be stopped. Many will die, but that is a price #Cubie is willing to pay!

"So the front line troops in the Donbass suffered."

The AFU Donbass soldiers did one hell of a good job holding Russia to taking less than 100 square miles in a year and a half. This also shows how badly degraded the Russian army is in all areas. RU forces were unable to take more in the Donbas, and were completely unaware of the Ukrainian build up near Kursk until the AFU was in Russian territory.

My suspicion is that this is NATO’s plan to grab some RU territory to use as leverage in soon to be upcoming entreaties for a ceasefire — land for land exchange to get RU to give up some of its gains.

Meanwhile UKR’s central front lines are collapsing.

Interesting that RU doesn’t seem to have an immediate response brigade ready to deploy anywhere in the world in 12 hours like the US has. Even if they cannot support a global range, one would expect RU would have a substantial IRF standing-by for any where in RU.

Certainly a bold move by NATO, but to what end? IMO it will lead to more destruction of UKR.

P.S. Just discovered that John McCain (e.g., our century’s Benedict Arnold) pushed for Climate Change treaties as a way to weaken RU. (Because RU has so much carbon-based resources). More evidence he was happy to sacrifice Americans for his hatred of RU.

Not just the Russians. Biden’s people, too. Had they known, they would have strangled this operation in its crib.
