Republican activist becomes first person convicted in Arizona’s fake elector case

A Republican activist who signed a document falsely claiming Donald Trump had won Arizona in 2020 became the first person to be convicted in the state’s fake elector case.

Loraine Pellegrino, a past president of the group Ahwatukee Republican Women, has pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of filing a false document, Arizona attorney general’s office spokesperson Richie Taylor said Tuesday, declining to comment further. Records documenting her guilty plea haven’t yet been posted by the court. Still, court records show Pellegrino was sentenced to unsupervised probation. Before the plea, she faced nine felony charges.

Seventeen other people have been charged in the case, including 10 other Republicans who had signed a certificate saying they were “duly elected and qualified” electors and claimed Trump had carried Arizona in the 2020 election. Democrat Joe Biden won Arizona by 10,457 votes on his way to winning the White House.

Joshua Kolsrud, an attorney representing Pellegrino, said in a statement that his client has accepted responsibility for her actions.

“Loraine Pellegrino’s decision to accept a plea to a lesser charge reflects her desire to move forward and put this matter behind her,” Kolsrud said.

On Monday, former Trump campaign attorney Jenna Ellis, who worked closely with Trump personal attorney Rudolph W. Giuliani, entered a cooperation agreement with prosecutors who have asked for her charges to be dismissed. The remaining defendants, including Giuliani and former Trump Chief of Staff Mark Meadows, have pleaded not guilty to conspiracy, fraud and forgery charges.

Before the plea, she faced nine felony charges.

These prosecutions are absolutely essential for the Deep State that runs this country. Just like the Jan. 6 prosecutions (although many have just been incarcerated without much in the way of legal procedure) these lawfare cases serve the purpose of intimidation and punishment for those who wish to expose the greatest crime in American history. If one pays attention to what is actually going on it’s evident that the crime committed by the Deep State is never much looked at or examined to any extent. Getting the truth is the last thing the conspirators want.

Regarding the J6 prosecutions, why is there no distinction between Democrat appointed judges and Republican appointed judges when it comes to the prosecution of the J6 patriots?

If the Democrats are using lawfare to punish Republicans, why are Republican appointed judges joining them in prosecuting Republicans?

“...Arizona attorney general’s office...”

Led by a left wing criminal hack scumbag. Enjoy the post for now. The day is coming when these illegitimate “prosecutors” will themselves be hunted down and prosecuted.

Puppet Biden STOLE Arizona, period! If you throw out all the thousands of illegal ballots, Trump wins in a landslide. Everyone know this, especially the clown Jacques Billeaud at the LA Times.

Is a guilty plea the same as a conviction? If not, the title is a lie.

(Setting aside the issue of the ciercive nature of guilty pleas.)

Heck - I just discovered this year that you can "age off" certain types of "felony" convictions in some states.

SOOOOO - were they real felonies in the first place?

Or just a means to extract more money?

The "judges" of the US District Court of the District of Columbia are carefully selected for loyalty to the Uniparty.

Check the numbers on their confirmation hearing vote.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_District_Court_for_the_District_of_Columbia

For example, after a certain point in late October 2018, the nomination votes of Trump judges turned into an arm-wrestling match, with many votes being 50-something to 40-something.

Look at the D.D.C. votes after that date.

Thanks for the reply.

Of the four Trump judges, Trevor McFadden (confirmed 84-10) is the best.

Timothy Kelly (confirmed 94-2), Dabney Friedrich (confirmed 97-3), Carl Nichols (confirmed 55-42), as well as Reagan appointee Royce Lamberth, have been huge disappointments in regards to the J6 protest.

Royce Lamberth:

“Lamberth has presided over a number of the criminal cases of participants in the January 6 attack on the United States Capitol, including Jacob Chansley, the “QAnon Shaman”. Lamberth has handed down some of the longest sentences of the more than 480 people convicted for their actions during the attack.”

Republican presidents need to do a better job of nominating “conservative” judges. Force the RINO senators to deny confirmation of constitutionalist judges.

Nine “felonies” plead down to a single misdemeanor?

Pure rat lawfare.

Submit or face ruin.

Years ago, I was charged with 5 felonies, only to be dropped to a simple misdemeanor once I got a lawyer.
