I have no love for Russia, China, Ukraine, Iran, N. Korea etc.
Only thing I am against is spending money we do not have to protect borders of faraway countries, while our own border is totally porous. $35,000,000,000,000 national debt and climbing fast with chronic Trillion-dollar deficits every year. Interest on debt is the largest item in federal spending. So stupid!
And on this I agree with you - if the money was actually being "spent" and not us giving older equipment which we were going to junk anyway.

But note that the true amount the USA spends is hardly a pinprick compared to the other wasteful places INTERNALLY spent
