Vice President Kamala Harris has not given one interview or press conference to the media in the 17 days since she joined the presidential race.
She has given a few speeches, in which she has repeated the same script — first to campaign headquarters, then to party supporters in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where she introduced running mate Tim Walz on Tuesday.
Her only unscripted remarks came last week at Andrews Air Force Base, when she joined President Joe Biden to welcome Americans who had been freedom from Russia in a prisoner swap.

She is unburdened by not answering any questions.
She’s doing a rally in Wisconsin. The press should ask her questions. The picture of people waiting is horrible. Probably 20K at least. Sucks!
She could have a press conference where she was given the questions in advance, and still come off badly.
JD Vance walked up to her press gaggle and scolded them. Seriously, not much of a job if you don’t get to ask your assigned candidate any questions. What do they do all day?
A version of the political axiom “When you’re explaining, you’re losing” applies to ol’ Kamala here: “When she’s speaking, she’s losing.”
Hey, Kamala and democrats figure that, if it worked once, it can work again. Biden hid from the press in the 2020 election, and he still ‘won’. It’s a ‘battle tested’ tactic, donchaknow.
Reporter to Kamala: Voters would like you to have a press conference so they could get an idea of what your position is.
Kamala: On my knees, everyone knows that.
Mitch McConnell beat incumbent Democrat Dee Huddleston in 1984 to go into the Senate. Huddleston had a horrible attendance record. McConnell had a famous ad in which men were running through the forest with bloodhounds yelling, “Where’s Dee?! Where’s Dee?!” Trump should consider something similar and Vance should keep trolling Harris’ plane and press detail.
Why should she?
She didn’t have to campaign for a single vote.
She’ll get them without answering questions, too, just like Biden did.
Sure, the Democrat/Communist Party's "presumptive" candidates have lots of things to hate about America and about Americans who don't embrace communism, especially Trump ... but Trump owns the general population's -- including those in the middle which demographic decides national elections -- three biggest concerns: The border; the economy; and our forced involvement in foreign wars. The Democrat/Communists have nothing of substance to say about these three issues ... other than to blame Trump (which isn't going to fly to the Middle).
And why not. She’s winning and by not talking she’s doing great. If she talks it could hurt her. She can keep doing what she’s doing.
She can’t, she is a vacuous airhead. Is that an oxymoron?
She appeared awkward at the rally yesterday, Walz did better, you could tell he was natural and more confident than Kamala.
She's from California. And did terrible when she ran for President in 2020.
