...there are indications that Josh Shapiro is shaping up as Kamala Harris’s VP choice. Notwithstanding the opposition from “progressive,” i.e. anti-Semitic, Democrats, which I noted here.
But now, in an 11th-hour development, the ante may have been upped.... now we have this:
Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro has had to defend his stance on Israel after an op-ed he penned more than three decades ago, in which he wrote of being an Israeli army volunteer and disparaged the Palestinian people, resurfaced. ...
“[Palestinians] are too battle-minded to be able to establish a peaceful homeland of their own,” Shapiro wrote, identifying himself as a “past volunteer in the Israeli army.” He referred to the Arab world as divided and “belligerent.”...
Shapiro has been quick to disavow his comments of 30 years ago...
One thing you can say about Democrats–their views are always evolving.

They don’t need Walz. Minnesota is a lock for Harris. The rats control the Mi elections. Trump would need a 10 point lead to win Mi. I still think it will be Shapiro. It will shore up the wobbly Jewish vote and be a big boost for Harris getting Pa. I think the progressive flak is a triangulation play
You make a good point about MN and Harris. It is not in play like Pennsylvania is.

Not to mention they could lose the Muslim vote.
Democrats don’t need Jewish votes because they are concentrated in mainly blue states. They do need the Jewish donors to continue donating. The Arab and Muslim vote is enough to swing some states if they stay home. And the mid vote is growing, while the Jewish vote is stagnant.
The total hugely incompetent ticket….
Oh well then I’m all for Shapiro.

He’ll get the alphabet vote, the crazy cat lady vote, and the schoolteacher vote (but I repeat myself there). The hispanic vote? no. The black church vote? Doubt it.
