ActBlue is hit with a DEMAND letter from @JasonMiyaresVA regarding accusations of campaign money laundering that is interfering in the U.S. election.

"My office has become aware of multiple serious allegations that ActBlue... [has] engaged in fraudulent, deceptive, and/or otherwise illegal activities in the Commonwealth of Cirginia and/or have aided and abetted others in doing so."

"This includes hundreds of thousands of dollars of contributions through individual donors in the Commonwealth in volumes that are facially implausible and appear suspicious."

"Taken together, these circumstances appear to indicate that contributions via ActBlue are being made from fictional donors or dummy accounts, or that information reported by or through ActBlue may be fraudulent."

"For the foregoing reasons, it is imperative that you provide my office with a detailed description of ActBlue's processes and procedures for verifying the legitimacy and accuracy of donor and contribution information as well as the processes and procedures used in verifying information reported in regulatory bodies."

"Give the seriousness of these allegations, I expect to receive your substantive response by August 12, 2024."

Dear Republicans: This is what ACTION looks like

...

@JasonMiyaresVA Put some guilty people in prison for this, if you want to restore a shred of faith in the American judicial system. The entire Democratic Party is a criminal racketeering enterprise. ActBlue is the tip of the iceberg. It should all be taken down under RICO.

"Democrats" launder tax money to public sector unions, bribe its base with slush funds, "forgive" debts — it's out-of-control.

America's lawmakers have become its biggest criminals.

Except nothing will come of it. They have friends in high places. Just like any mafia, human lives are at risk.

Resulting in a $1.2 trillion infrastructure bill where nothing gets built.

I read lot of the donations are coming in from names of unemployed people who are making multiple weekly donations. Some are even dead people. Surprise, we all knew it was happening. Where was Republicans when they were in control of Congress demanding investigation, even Republican AG states. Crickets

Not all "unemployed people" are poor. Some have significant nest eggs, particularly those who are retired. Also, the size of the donations would be important here: paying $5/week wouldn't be that much of a hardship to home owning pension beneficiaries, for example.

Exactly. The Dems know full well that, at this point, any prosecution/litigation of campaign finance violations will take us way past the election and ultimately they may have to pay a nominal fine, worst-case.

Sorry, but since they are alleging Criminal Activity and they have evidence of reasonable suspicion that criminal activity is taking place, ACTION would be SEIZING ALL ASSETS under current Civil Asset Forfeiture laws and Felony Indictments for everyone involved.
