Flying is inherently dangerous. Now we learn there is more risk in military flying and supporting armed forces aviation than maintaining the skills necessary to keep aircraft in the air or engaging an enemy in aerial combat. As a result, the health of the warfighters and the resulting readiness of the force are of concern. A recent Department of Defense (DOD) study reported that certain cancers are more prevalent in military aircrews and support personnel than in the general population. The Pentagon analysis is Phase 1 of an investigation called Study on the Incidence of Cancer Diagnosis and Mortality Among Military Aviators and Aviation Support Personnel. Congress mandated the study be undertaken in the FY2021 National Defense Authorization Act.
Under Secretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness Gilbert Cisneros Jr. provided the assessment with a cover letter to the chairmen of the appropriate congressional oversight committees. Cisneros pointed out when the data were adjusted for age, sex, and race, aircrew and ground crew members exhibited a significantly higher rate for certain cancers. The study developed its findings using the Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results (SEER) program database. SEER, a medical research effort of the National Cancer Institute, “is an authoritative source of information on cancer incidence and survival in the United States. SEER currently collects and publishes cancer incidence and survival data from the population-based cancer registries covering approximately 48.0% of the US population,” according to the National Health Institute.
Statistical data from SEER was compared with medical data from the Defense Department’s cancer registry system Oncolog managed by the Defense Health Agency’s Joint Pathology Center. “Oncolog includes cancer data reported by military medical treatment facilities on all DOD beneficiaries,” according to the study. This population includes active duty, retired, Reserve, and National Guard personnel diagnosed with cancer while serving...

We don’t know what is aggravating these carcinogens in machines full of toxic chemicals, but we know for 100% sure that it is NOT, you know, the thing.
Also there were a lot of PCBs in the electronics and some suggest that electro-magnetic emitting hardware can also be a problem.
Minuteman launch crews, that spend extended time underground in the capsules, also have similar concerns and that is also currently under investigation.
Must Ban flying then
There is a hint in the study.
Some cancers were found more often, but they had a much higher survival rate.
This indicates they were found earlier.
Military people, especially air crews, get far more physicals, where a cancer might be detected early, than the general population.
Hence, a greater number of cancers found, and a much greater number of survivors.
Very, very first question, did they take the MRNA clot shots?
My brother in law’s brother was a navy pilot. He never smoked a day in his life or drank much. Eventually he developed this really weird spider looking lung cancer. They had Johns Hopkins and Mayo clinic analyze it and the report came back “a cancer of unknown origin”
in this case I will not blame the “Vax”
there has been a long history of cancers in the military due to solvents, toxins, radioactive material, pcbs, and many more things that would take pages to list.
I used to work with military pilots and boom operators. I can’t say any would ever talk about this topic, but I do know that military bases on a whole have lots of chemicals in the ground and soil the bases are located on. Fire department personnel are also exposed to dangerous chemicals.
It’s been known for a long time that pilots and aircrews are exposed to higher levels of ionizing radiation. A calculator is here:
https://www.omnicalculator.com/everyday-life/flight-radiation
A single flight isn’t so bad, but frequent flights over many years adds up.
Cosmic radiation.
I am pretty sure the dosage rate varies with altitude. Lower flights = less, higher altitudes = more.
Thankfully my son is a Navy Helo pilot & all flights are fairly low altitude.
Sitting duty on the ready ramp behind the radar of an f-15E that is blasting out high powered radiation might have something to do with it in some pilots. Not sure about other aircraft. That is not the only emission of high powered RF or other nasty stuff.
I have almost 500 hours as a C-141 loadmaster. Besides tinnitus nothings popped up....yet.
Obviously second hand smoke and that beer he had once when he was 34........
Those two factors combined will guarantee that you will die one day........
I heard a report that mentioned a Navy whistleblower who claimed that in the Navy amongst pilots, myocarditis was up 150% and heart failure was up 900%. And these are young guys and gals.
I was on both Titan II crew and Minuteman crew. The Titan II complexes were toxic and the Air Force buried a 1980 study regarding the toxicity of both Titan II Combat Crew Duty as well as the maintainers.
The study was exposed several years ago but it is not being addressed like the ongoing Minuteman study. The military and the politicians are biding their time, waiting out the clock for us to die, then they will swoop in and help a few remaining souls who will not cost them hardly anything. Those politicians will then crow about how they are so concerned and helping the remaining few Titan II troops as those troops move on to their demise.
I was not on aircrew but had those back in the day.
That photo shows things have changed a lot since my time when you got a warm bologna sandwich, a piece of cold fried chicken, a bag of plain chips, and a horrible Red Delicious Apple (the worst apple in the world).
There is a lot more junk food in the new boxes but it looks tastier.
High altitudes exposed to more ground radiation?
But why did this study come out with military recruiting numbers so depressed?
