An explosive device hidden in a heavily guarded complex where Ismail Haniyeh was known to stay in Iran was what killed him, according to a Times investigation.

Many Iranians despise the regime. There are a number of Admiral Canaris and Marko Ramius inside Iran working for Israel. (If I was an Iranian regime opponent I would not get within haling distance of the CIA or any U.S. government affiliated organization, they leak and they betray.)
It took three Slimes boyz to write this article.
“according to seven Middle Eastern officials, including two Iranians, and an American official.
The bomb had been hidden approximately two months ago in the guesthouse, according to five of the Middle Eastern officials.”
Is there anyone that doesn’t leak?
I would take that 2 month timeframe with a grain of salt. That could be Israeli disinformation to protect assets.
The only secret Washington can keep is Epsteins client list and the tapes they took from Pedo Island.
It’s paywalled - I refuse to give NYT a dime, ever.
Mossad, you magnificent bastards.

Good strategy, talk about using your creativity and imagination. Secret Service should take note.
Mossad has mastered time travel. Beware!
Or the leak is a convenient fake. Seven "Middle Eastern officials?" Hmmmm
The story infers someone on the ground, not a 3-letter agency operator half the world away working for a country that denies involvement.
The story infers it wasn't an airborne bomb such as from a drone or even a civilian aircraft.
And the Panama Papers that went away very quickly
“ I would take that 2 month timeframe with a grain of salt. That could be Israeli disinformation to protect assets.”

For sure..,, Iran also has CCTV cameras with video storage for various lengths of time.
Keep ‘em guessing, Mossad. Go get ‘em, good and hard, until there are no more.
A planted bomb may be the reason. Though I can’t understand why that would be reported unless it was obvious and couldn’t be covered up. Or is meant to deflect from other reasons. That is, what if security were lax (whether on the ground or in the air) and, rather than say that, they go with “a bomb was planted”?
Maybe a bomb was planted, but it is a curious thing to admit if true (as it points to a deep and long-gestating conspiracy). It does offer face-saving for other lapses if not true.
“I would take that 2 month timeframe with a grain of salt. That could be Israeli disinformation to protect assets.”
The entire article could also be disinformation, but it will certainly drive the Iranians nuts! But assuming that it’s real, it’s fun to think of how they could have remotely triggered it, without it being detected by typical sweeping equipment. I can think of a possible way to do it (other than the obvious - hard-wiring, which would be quite difficult at a place like that), but I don’t want to give Iran any clues (in case I’m right, LOL).
I must be confused about who is supplying the leaks. I’m replying as if the Iranians were leaking it. If the Israelis leaked it, I can’t imagine why they would tell the truth unless (again) to distract from what really happened.
They needed one of those Secret Service bomb sniffing dogs like the one in J6 D.C.
