After a storm of international protest, the organizers have issued a weak we’re-sorry-if-you-were-offended apology. They say they were shocked that anyone was bothered by what they say was a testament to inclusion.

The Fake Olympics
It was not offensive. It was supposed to be educational, to expand your mind to thinking beyond the burdens of the past and unburden you to imagine a future unburdened by past burdens. You were not intended to be offended. You were intended to be educated, to be shown the light of truth, to examine the big picture and see clearly how your western biases leads to racism and gender fluidity bigotry, to imagine a world where a dolled up pig is regarded as beutiful. Great Pagan Festivals are not the values of the French nor any Republic that wants to endure as history has shown. Dionysus was the Greek god of revelry, drunkenness, ritual madness, insanity, debauchery, etc... That is not celebrating the Olympic Games nor Greek civilization in a positive light.
If they wanted to do a send up to the Greek gods why not Hermes, who was the god of sport, games and athletes? That would have made more sense.
But, these people were only interested in promoting their agenda and this is clearly evident this is the case if you listen to the apology of this "artist" that created this political and offensive stunt. He speaks about being free to love who we want and the freedom NOT to worship. Telling lines from a supposed apology for a "mistake".

IMHO, they were hoping for it to generate the PR it did for the otherwise unwatched olympics. As the saying goes, bad publicity is better than no publicity.
I was more bothered by the beheading thing.
I thought, maybe in 100 years when the Olympics are in Berlin, that the organizers will set up a gas chamber and crematorium for the athletes to parade through. I mean, that’s the direction this idiocy is going.
