That was fast! On Sunday, after President Biden announced he would not run for a second term, Vice President Harris declared her intention to “earn and win” the Democratic nomination. In less than 24 hours, she had apparently secured all the delegates needed to lock up the nomination.
Which raises a question: Why did no one challenge her? After all, Harris is undeniably vulnerable. She ran a catastrophic campaign for president four years ago, flaming out before even reaching the Iowa caucuses. Her public approval has hovered around that of Biden, who is himself one of the most unpopular presidents in 70 years. She is also less popular than former president Donald Trump, the man she must beat. Indeed, The Post’s recent average of 11 polls conducted since the debate found little difference between how she and Biden stack up against Trump.

I have little doubt Heels Up Harris would have been removed from his army group.
Besides, Hubert Humphrey was not available. Anybody remotely capable most likely wants a clean start, not picking up the pieces of the Biden regime.
Never in the field of human leadership has someone gained so much with so little by so few.
If “Calamity Harris” is their final answer, I fear that the dems may have misunderstood the question.
She only wants the trappings of power. While not brilliant, she's cunning enough to know that to receive this, she must cede the real power to the Deep State. This, she'll do.
And so the Deep State is replacing its Biden puppet with a Harris puppet.

Given the speed of change, it looks to me to be calculated. I think they know no one on the bench can beat Trump and they just want rid of the Cackler; out of the way for ‘28. Sure the left wing media will play along and continue to sell their soles to shine her up just to remain in the good graces of their overlords. But they know, at least most of them, that she will get crushed.
I don’t think Republicans will win the Executive Branch of the government by national election ever again. It’s been completely and utterly suborned by the steal. This kind of stuff you cannot stop legally. And there isn’t enough raw resolve out there to do it any other way. Maybe something will come down the pike in our lifetimes to change the dynamic, but I think it’s doubtful.

It wasn’t until the end of June that they saw the real FJB and realized their peril. The primaries are over. The convention is in mere weeks and the election 100+days away.
They have little choice.
BUT...Zerohissef may still pull a fast one at the convention. I won’t breathe easy until after their convention.

Why did no one challenge her?
within 10 minutes of ByeDone announcing his withdrawal, Harris had already assembled her team at the Naval Observatory home and was on the phone with ‘100 calls in 10 hours’ to the power players in the Dem party. Within 24 hours, the msm was reporting she had the delegates (whether she really did or not). Within 48 hours, the Dem power brokers were calling for a snap vote to confirm Harris prior to the actual convention (making the convention pointless).
This type of blitz made it very hard for an opponent to poke their head up without an equally powerful propaganda plan that could also be mobilized in those 24-48 hours. However, as the icing drips off the cake in the heat, (such as the BLM feeling offended, the polling of hispanics tanking and ‘they ain’t like us’ ringing hollow) there may still be a challenger waiting in the wings to pounce. Time will tell.
