BUTLER TOWNSHIP, Pa. (KDKA) — The Butler County district attorney is sticking up for two local snipers who were inside the building facing the roof where Thomas Matthew Crooks carried out the attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump.
Butler County District Attorney Richard Goldinger refuted some of Pennsylvania State Police Col. Christopher Paris' testimony during Tuesday's congressional hearing on Capitol Hill.
Butler DA disputes testimony In a letter on Wednesday, Goldinger defended the two Butler County Emergency Services Unit snipers who were reported to have left their assigned building at the AGR complex during the rally in Butler Township on July 13.
In that letter, Goldinger said, "To say that these officers left their post is a misstatement. ... They performed the duties to which they were assigned."
Goldinger said only one of the snipers left the building briefly to chase the shooter after he was spotted. When he could not find him, he returned to the building, the DA said.
"For clarification, neither officer left their post, as was testified at the hearing on July 13. Their post was the building," Goldinger wrote in the letter.
Paris was told the two local snipers positioned at the second-floor windows overlooking the roof took a photo of the shooter and circulated it before leaving the area to look for him on the ground.
State police stand by testimony Pennsylvania State Police spokesperson Lt. Adam Reed defended Paris' testimony, saying, "Our agency stands by yesterday's testimony. The investigation into the shooting and its aftermath continues."
Goldinger also claims the snipers who were posted inside the building wouldn't have been able to see the shooter from where they were. Sources told KDKA-TV that those two local snipers were told to watch the crowd and stage.
The contradictions come amid a whistleblower claim that police were supposed to be on the roof but went inside because of the hot weather. Members of Congress who toured the site in Butler Township say they were told heat was an issue.
Seems like Crooks was the only one with a plan.
The windows open outward to the right if videos of inside the building are accurate. LE snipers wouldn’t have been able to shoot to the right.
You noticed that to.🤔things make go WTF
.
Yes
Will be there in 15 shots!
A local citizen of Butler went to the site to take some picture,
He says anyone could have looked up on to the roof without being “boosted” ,falling and hurting their ankle.
Officil verdict: “Nobody did nothin.”
As in, no one did anything wrong.
.
That story always smelled really bad.
I think that story is slowly going away, disappearing from the media conversation.
Over 50 people “Died”within 1 year after 11/22/63. They were somehow close to what happened.
You watch. We’ll get another magic bullet theory.
“wouldn’t have been able to see the shooter from where they were*
Then you pick a position where you can see the sweet spot for a sniper to take shots at President Trump. This really isn’t that difficult.
I that’s the point. Put out a bunch contradictory information to muddy the water of the stream so much you can’t see the trout you’re trying to catch.
1. Been reported the shooters home was scrubbed clean. No silverware nor dishes.
2. It is very usual for photographer to use the high speed shutter speed he used that morning that captured the bullet flying past Trumps head after the hit.
3. A fund that is connected to Soros shorted 12,000,000 shares of Trumps company of Friday for one week, but said on Monday when the plan failed opps, it was an error.
4. CNN decided at the last minute to cover the speech.
5. Someone visited Crooks home and place of work several times over the past several months then returned to DC to Gallery Place that is near the Sevret Service office and an FBI office.
These are just a few oddities of this attempt to murder Trump.
RuhRoh! He didn’t get the memo! Stick with the story, or they’ll be hell to pay!
Trust the lawyer who wasn’t there…not the cops, who were there.
Who has funded Goldinger’s political career…
Cheatle said Crooks was deemed “suspicious” but not “a threat.” Therefore they didn’t feel the need to keep Trump from the podium.
“Suspicious” means you suspect him of something. Of what? An overdue library book? Playing hooky? Unpaid parking tickets? No. The only thing they could possibly suspect him of, in that place and moment, was being a THREAT to the president.
So with a perceived, potential threat to him they said nothing.
That is the crux of the matter. And Wray says it won’t be investigated?
I asked my professional photographer daughter about this. She says 1/8,000 is normal. She said shutter speed depends on the aperture setting. Someone without knowledge of the profession undoubtedly started this claim.
A quick search on “aperture setting” gave this technical article.
Oh and SS Cheetos said no radio communications available for Congress to hear of that day wither. How convenient
The bullet wasn’t exactly “captured”.
“Oh and SS Cheetos said no radio communications available for Congress to hear of that day either.”
Why document one’s incompetence?
Right. He is more interested in his ear, was it a glass chip nick or bullet nick. Unreal.
