A soldier is in hospital with serious injuries after a horrific knife attack near an Army Barracks in Kent.
Police said they were called around 5.55pm on Tuesday to a report of a serious assault in Sally Port Gardens, Gillingham.
The victim, in his 40s, suffered injuries consistent with stab wounds and was airlifted to hospital for treatment.
A witness told The Sun that a man armed with two kitchen knives leapt off a moped and attacked the soldier in a frenzied assault.

I could be wrong, but that doesn’t sound like domestic dispute stuff. It sounds like “Religion of Peace” stuff. If so, we’ll be told that he was a lone wolf.
Anyway, the Tories had 14 years to fix this mess. They failed miserably. Now it’s Labour’s turn. They will certainly do worse.
Was Allah mentioned by the attacker?
Religion of pieces.
“Motive unclear”
If Allah was mentioned, we will never know his name.
Sudden Jihad Syndrome.
If they only had reasonable knife control...
There is one, and only one course of action with regard to the religion of hate, misogyny, lying and murder. Captain Obvious knows. Our politicians apparently do not.

Second photo shows the attacker. Face is pixilated, but you can see his left hand clearly. I’d say that’s an above-average tan for an Englishman...
Of course, like clockwork, the authorities(?) immediately rule out any terror relation and rely on the tried and true “mental health issues.” Whee, case solved!

It sounds crazy, but there is now a move in the UK to ban pointy knives.

I would go in the other direction. The UK of course has no Second Amendment. But at a minimum, they should allow veterans and active duty personnel to concealed carry.
That will never happen. Way more likely everyone will be told to give up those pointy knives.

When the “religion of peace” decides they are strong enough they will attempt to take over Europe using first the ballot and then bullets.
I don’t hold out much home for a civilization that has had self preservation bred out of them.

Hungary (the land of my grandparents) is a shining exception to the sad state of Europe today. Prime Minister Orbán has built a very effective border wall. Illegals stay out, and Hungarians stay safe.
But this will only last until Orbán’s party loses power. Such an event is inevitable in a democracy. Voters will get upset about taxes, transportation, or whatever.
Then a new government will come in. And down will go the border wall. Just like how Biden undid Trump’s border work.
The whole thing is very depressing.
The UK of course has no Second Amendment.
> Well, they kind of did under their ‘Bill of Rights’ back in the 1600s. <
One nice thing about Free Republic is that there are many opportunities to learn something new. I never heard of the British ‘Bill of Rights’, so I looked it up.
By golly, you’re correct. There was a right to have arms. But it was a bit slanted towards one particular group. From the document:
“… the subjects which are Protestants may have arms for their defence suitable to their conditions and as allowed by law”
It is forgotten, or never learned, that the Revolution was fought to secure and protect the rights of the freest people on earth at the time—Englishmen! They weren’t going to allow those rights to be trampled on by anyone, King or Parliament.
When they planned a government under the Constitution, they modeled it after the English system with improvements, replacing a hereditary King with an elected President, eliminating titles of nobility, banning the broad use of ‘treason’ as a crime, and bills of attainder.
