The bipartisan hounding that got Jill Biden’s inept choice for Secret Service director kicked to the curb (new regime and all) didn’t solve anything. It’s rarely just one man or woman and even more rarely the one at the top. The top guy, whether it was Cheatle, Mayorkas, Biden or Garland, is usually just the buffoon and fall guy out front while the radical pros with actual ideas implement their agenda.
So no, nothing is going to change.
The Secret Service has recommended that the Trump campaign no longer schedule outdoor rallies in the wake of the assassination attempt against the former president.
Since the July 13 shooting in Butler, Pa., Secret Service officials have communicated the agency’s concerns about large outdoor events featuring Trump to his campaign advisers, encouraging them to no longer hold the 78-year-old Republican nominee for president’s rallies out in the open, according to the Washington Post.
The Trump campaign appears to have heeded the agency’s concerns and is scouting indoor venues for future gatherings and not currently planning any large outdoor events, the outlet reported.
That significantly reduces the possible number of venues, raises costs, and will likely reduce the number of events. This is a heckler’s veto that benefits one side in this election and it’s not the side that got shot.
Sure, the Secret Service could do its job, but like most of the federal government these days, the job, as defined by the top echelons, is to ‘fortify democracy’ by sabotaging Republicans and electing Democrats.
The idea here is to either cripple Trump’s rallies, the strongest part of his campaign, or if the campaign keeps doing them and there’s another assassination attempt, to blame it on Trump for not listening.
Something tells me that indoor rallies won’t stop the deep state from another attempt.
They can’t handle it, that’s why. Incompetent fools.
Daniel Greenfield ping
That’s like the post office telling people not to use postcards or something akin. Tail attemtpting to wag dog.
And that goes for AFTER he’s elected as well.
Certainly didn’t help Bobby Kennedy.
I find it strange that no one in the media seems at all interested in talking to that psyco kids parents, relatives or other people that knew him.
Also apparently there are very few photographs of him......weird for this day and age.
A sensible precaution, until Trump can re-do the SS from top to bottom
Sounds like some pre-emptive CYA to me.
If anything happens, they can say “see we told you so”.
But in all practical terms it actually makes a lot of sense.
Should we/he be taking unnecessary risks like this? What if we lost him???
In political terms you would hate this idea.
But I would still ask that you might consider the risk/reward on it. How many potential votes are you risking by not having outdoor rallys?
The SS had more than enough agents under Biden because Biden had only a handful of people at his rallies.
This isn’t about xiden: This is about the government.
‘They’ are working hard to gin up enough ‘noise’ - reflected even here at FR - that 7/13 doesn’t become a rallying cry...
...but that’s EXACTLY what’s needed.
Indoors or outside doesn’t matter.
They will make another attempt to kill the president.

The optics of a large outdoor rally make it hard to dispute the numbers. That way Trump number will never surpass the Dem nominee.
I am sorry but agreeing to this is submission to the manipulation. Trump has had years of successful outdoor rallies and the only reason to change that is based on this Butler rally.
Allowing the regime to cut off your access to the people is going to hurt and they know it.
I am getting the feeling that the fix is in and we are going to end up with the Hoe, a total mental midget puppet once again.
Biden reacts to the resignation of US Secret Service Director Kim Cheatle:
“Jill and I are grateful to Director Kim Cheatle for her decades of public service. She has selflessly dedicated and risked her life to protect our nation throughout her career in the United States Secret Service. We especially thank her for answering the call to lead the Secret Service during our Administration and we are grateful for her service to our family.
As a leader, it takes honor, courage, and incredible integrity to take full responsibility for an organization tasked with one of the most challenging jobs in public service.
The independent review to get to the bottom of what happened on July 13 continues, and I look forward to assessing its conclusions. We all know what happened that day can never happen again.
As we move forward, I wish Kim all the best, and I will plan to appoint a new Director soon.”

Trump may need to do rallies surrounded by bullet proof glass. I am thinking of Pope John Paul II’s Popemobile.
“and I will plan to appoint a new Director soon”
He’s not the one doing the appointing. He’s too addlebrained to make any appointments. Someone else will make the appointment for him and it’ll likely be another DEI hire. Probably a black female lesbian cross dresser.
If I were Trump, I would assign Eric, his son, to oversee my security, putting his own elaborate private security in overall command and the SS as an extra, outside layer.
