Rep. Andy Ogles (R-TN) introduced articles of impeachment against Vice President Kamala Harris Tuesday over her role in immigration law and for allegedly misleading the public on President Joe Biden‘s condition.
The two articles of impeachment, obtained by the Washington Examiner, come two days after Biden dropped his reelection bid and endorsed Harris to take his place at the top of the Democratic Party’s ticket.
The first article of impeachment, “willful refusal to uphold the immigration laws,” stems from her alleged “inaction” with border security and immigration law as “border czar.” The second article of impeachment, “breach of public trust,” alleges that Harris “knowingly misled” the public and Congress about “the physical and cognitive well-being” of Biden.
Biden’s shaky debate performance against former President Donald Trump last month, which exacerbated concerns over his age and mental acuity, was the catalyst for Democrats’ calls for him to end his reelection campaign, which he did on Sunday.
The Republican-led House of Representatives has opened an impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden and has impeached Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas during this Congress. Mayorkas’s impeachment articles were quickly dismissed by the Democrat-led Senate earlier this year, and the investigations into Biden have stalled.
It is unclear whether there will be support for Ogles’s statements moving forward.

If Ogles really wants to nail Harris he needs to
focus on the $2 million payroll scam she pulled.

When OTB filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request for Harris’ staff payroll in September 2021, a spokesman reportedly declined the request and claimed the vice president’s office was not subject to FOIA.
When OTB replied with a request for transparency Harris’ office could provide, the spokesman said Harris did “not have any information to share at this time.”
The VP’s rejection makes her the least transparent elected office holder in the country. Citizens ought to be concerned that the person next in line for the presidency is so unwilling to disclose how she spends tax dollars.
OTB’s investigation also revealed an over $2 million discrepancy in Harris’ allocation of taxpayer dollars. OTB calculated that for VP Harris’s 28 staff listed in the Senate report, the 2021 salaries added up to $2,334,223. But the vice president’s office “got $5 million for 23 full time staff in 2021 and requested over $6 million for 27 full time staff in 2022.
Harris’ office reportedly refused to answer any questions from OTB regarding this inconsistency. OTB said Harris’ office is a “revolving door” where there’s a perpetual staff exodus of key aides heading for the exits.......that might correspond to the $2 million discrepancy in her tax-paid payroll.

I understand what you're saying, but there's one big (D)ifference between this and anything Democrats would do to a Republican.
And that difference concerns which party has total control of the "mainstream" media. If Harris were a Republican, then this would be Worse Than Watergate with wall-to-wall coverage to damage the Republican as much as possible.
Since Harris is a Democrat, and "black", and a female.... you already know how coverage of this is going to go. Just like the reverse scenario, the media coverage will STILL endeavor to damage the Republican (party) as much as possible, and it will succeed.
It's a moot point, probably. There will be some quickie vote, the vote will fail, the case will be closed. OTOH if Democrats were as shrewd as they think they are (they aren't shrewd, they're just evil; it's only that the GOP is so stupid that the Rats LOOK smart by comparison), they'd vote for some kind of investigation and then sit back as Republican candidates become more and more unpopular with each passing day.
