A Go Fund Me account authorized by former President Donald Trump has raised more than $6 million for the victims of the failed assassination attempt at a rally in Pennsylvania on Saturday.
As of Friday morning, the account had raised nearly $6.5 million through more than 69,000 donations, including contributions from billionaire Elon Musk, hedge fund investor Ken Griffin, Sen. Rick Scott, R-Fla., and his wife, UFC CEO and President Dana White, and musical artist Kid Rock.
Corey Comperatore, a 50-year-old firefighter from Sarver, Pennsylvania, was shot and killed at the rally while shielding his wife and daughter from gunfire.
David Dutch, 57, of New Kensington, Pennsylvania, and James Copenhaver, 74, of Moon Township, Pennsylvania, were seriously injured in the shooting but both are said to be recovering.

Biden would probably give the money to Ukraine. Glad Trump and his team doing what they can do to help the victims.
it will be interesting to see how they divide the money. two of the people may be having big medical bills.
Also, there was the kid who was grazed in the neck by the bullet.
It is great they have been able to raise enough money to really help these people
It will be hard on him having them die and be injured at his rally. Doesn’t matter that it wasn’t his fault but they were there for him. So very sad and horrific.
Amen. There is not nearly enough outrage over the innocent victims of security detail fiasco. Trump did take a bullet for Democracy. And so did three others. One of them had their life taken by a twenty year-old whose teenage years were spent being brainwashed via an incessant drumbeat of hate for Trump from the media, probably his teachers, and possibly his parents.
Outdated totals do not include $1 million check from Dan Newlin, Florida lawyer.
Whenever someone we know has a GoFundMe site set up, we bypass it and directly give them a check. Because the admins take almost 10 percent as a fee, and the recipient only gets 90 percent. I would rather all my donation go to the recipient. Of course, some donators want to have their name displayed on the site, but I don’t care about that.
Don’t forget his 10%
That brought tears to my eyes.
Incorrect. His donation is listed in the top donors section
Whoops, I've got the text bigger and managed to miss the blue word.
