Some Republicans call on Biden to resign the presidency too after ending his 2024 campaign

Some Republicans reacted immediately to President Joe Biden’s announcement that he won’t seek re-election in November by demanding that he resign the presidency as well.

“If Joe Biden is not fit to run for President, he is not fit to serve as President. He must resign the office immediately. November 5 cannot arrive soon enough,” House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., said in a statement shortly after Biden revealed his decision.

New York Rep. Elise Stefanik, the conference chair and fourth-ranking House Republican, added: “If Joe Biden can’t run for re-election, he is unable and unfit to serve as President of the United States. He must immediately resign.”

Republicans always bluff.

If they can’t do anything about it then they should just start working on something they can do something about.

Kamala is equally brain dead.

This is the political equivalent of the war in Ukraine.

No win.

Dumb.

How can the many Biden apologists now say something to honestly refute their lame duck codger as being mentally incompetent.

And, the ones who made up lies for Joe being fit to stay in the Dem nomination race be believed for now saying he’s not right for the ballot race?

RINOs - always trying to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

Shut up and let the Democrats make a spectacle of themselves with their senile frontman.

“If Joe Biden is not fit to run for President, he is not fit to serve as President."

Democrats: "Wait...say that again? How does that work?"

It’s true

It’s a lot easier and has no responsibility to the nation to run for office.

If he can’t run, he can’t be president which is not just for one party.

He must resign.

He won’t because of partisan political reasons.

They can’t appoint their VP who they will have run with Harris.

Etc…

I, for one, don’t want “President Kamala Harris” to be used by the media for the next 3+ months

I've done some thought on this question (and not reached a definite decision):

The question being "Is it better if Biden resigns as POTUS now or finishes out his term?"

If by "better" you mean (R) chances in the election, he definitely should stay IN. As an imcumbent, Kamala would be harder to beat (unless she screws up totally).

But is it better for the country? Biden can do a lot of damage in the six months he has left...

So imagine you're a repub senator or rep, presented with a vote to discharge Biden under the 25th. It needs a 2/3 majority, so R's and D's would have to vote together to expel him.

How would YOU vote?

Kamala cannot organize a coffee klatch so 25th amendment is totally out of the question.

I do not care at this point between senile Biden or brain dead Kamala.

One thing is for sure.....The Dems wanted that early debate. For the Republicans...it was a gift.
