Anthony Fauci dismissed the gunshot wound Donald Trump sustained during Saturday's assassination attempt, telling CNN viewers: 'he's in the clear.'
Fauci made the comments after the former president, 78, wore a large white bandage over the gunshot wound on his ear throughout the Republican National Convention this week.
'I don't think there is much more to it,' Fauci, 83, said of Trump's wounds while talking to CNN host Wolf Blitzer on Friday. 'It was a bullet shot that grazed his ear.'

The midget Fauci needs to be dismissed.
He should stand 140 yards away from someone with a rifle, and ask them to nick the top of his ear lobe, ear only, you understand.
I agree with your assessment. The headline is crafted to get eyeballs reading based on the pre-existing public hatred of Fauci.
Trump included the word "pierced", I think. It could have been "notched". That's what I saw in one photo: his upper ear lobe looked like it had a hole in it - pierced, but the upper arc of the ear (helix) could have been missing too - notched.
That's not "grazed", that's a messy and deforming, and I'd say serious, wound - but fortunately not life-threatening unless it gets grossly infected.
BTW, the flag angel not only seemed to turn Trump's head; the angel seemed to tell the crowd not to panic. And, it seems the fireman was needed in heaven. Trump's new deformity was necessary to convince more people of the truth. The fireman's death was necessary to convince more people of reality. Alas, there's still hordes of people who are too thick-headed to believe what happened.

Considering his crimes, that would be very appropriate.

Valid point. But such risks would have been at their highest in the immediate after-math of the event. From my layman’s perspective I wouldn’t think such effects would be long term (In other words, if, after a week or two, he hasn’t experienced any such issues, he’s probably out of the woods).

Stupid headline. Fauci dismissed the foolish and conspiratorial notion that the Democrats are putting forward that the injury is more severe than what it is.
Thanks for the info. Based on pictures taken at the rally in the immediate aftermath of the shooting, the ear, thankfully, didn’t appear to have sustained much structural damage. The top of the ear appeared to be in tact. It’s amazing how little damage he sustained. God was looking after him.
