A seven-month-old baby was shot and left to fend for himself while bleeding after a gunwoman opened fire on his parents and they fled.
The boy was being pushed in a pram by his parents on Meridian Street in Holmesburg, Philadelphia, at 5.51pm on Thursday.
CCTV footage showed a woman suddenly approach them, fire at the couple, then walk away after one of the bullets hit the baby in the leg.

This reminds me of decades ago after my ex-wife left (thank you Jesus) but we were in a years long custody battle (which I eventually won, thank you Jesus!). During those years, my ex insisted that we do visit swaps in the parking lot of a nearby police station. It was her way to grandstand that she needed protection from me.
Almost every time she and her mother would start an argument with me, never with me arguing back in front of the kids. It happened so frequently that a policeman would always step out to witness it. One day, my ex-mother-in-law walked into the police station to make up an excuse to press charges to create false paperwork to use against me in court for the custody battle. What she didn't know is that the police run a background report on not just the person she was accusing (me, and I have no police record except a few speeding tickets from when I was young), but also on the person making the accusation.
My ex-mother-in-law had a warrant for her arrest, so she got arrested! When I drove away without the kids I had to pull over to keep from wrecking from laughing so hard. Probably not a fine Christian moment of mine. LOL After I got custody I told her point blank that she could have visits with the kids as long as her persistent venom stops so the kids would no longer be exposed to it. I had to withhold visits for a while until she got the point, but eventually she did. After that we got along fine and she had plenty of visits, at least until the kids grew up.

I'm not going to read this story because it sounds depressing, but just reacting to the headline: if you love your own life more than that of your seven month old child, you shouldn't have become a parent.

Much as suspected. Cops don’t know why the parents were in the city. Hmm, couldn’t be drugs, naw. Of course, typical the baby daddy immediately takes off running. Surprised mama stayed as long as she did.
