Adidas has dropped vocal pro-Palestinian model Bella Hadid from an advertising campaign for retro trainers referencing the 1972 Munich Olympics, which were overshadowed by a massacre of Israeli athletes, following outcry over her views.

The German sportswear giant recently relaunched the SL72, a shoe first showcased by athletes at the 1972 Olympics, as part of a series reviving old classic trainers.

Eleven Israeli athletes and a German police officer were killed at the 1972 Munich Games after gunmen from the Palestinian Black September group broke into the Olympic village and took them hostage.

People make mistakes. Oversights happen. Not everything that happens is deliberate.

But did anyone at Adidas or the ad agency make the connection between Hadid and what happened at Munich?

Yikes.

What, exactly, did the woman do - besides evoke screeches from cancel-goons?

Wow, what a bizarre example of ignorance, I’m starting to think that every boardroom should require one ordinary old person in the room with some knowledge of things to occasionally recommend that they look deeper into certain plans and projects.

Express support for Hamas, fund it.

Germany killed half of the world’s Jews, then stood by as much of the Israeli Olympic team was butchered in 1972. You’d think Adidas, whose founders became Nazis as soon as Hitler took power, would be a little more sensitive about putting an Arab terror supporter up as a symbol of a shoe birthed in the same year as the pogrom at the Olympics.

I’ve often wondered whether Germany is importing millions of Muslims so they can better legitimize Jew hatred. Overt Nazism is out of fashion, but Muslims are beyond criticism. Heck, the Islamic end of the world scenario kicks off with their very own Final Solution. The following PBS link tries to pass off the exhortation as a Saudi thing, but it’s a key part of the religion and the principal reason Jews are hated everywhere Islam holds sway.

[The last hour won’t come before the Muslims would fight the Jews and the Muslims will kill them so Jews would hide behind rocks and trees. Then the rocks and tree would call: oh Muslim, oh servant of God! There is a Jew behind me, come and kill him. Only “Gharkad” tree, it is of Jews’ trees.]

This had to have been signed off on multiple times. Low IQ execs. Must be using the same ad company as Bud Light.

Adidas has gone all-in on marketing to ghetto culture.

First the partnership with total nutcase Kain West, and now this.

No one in Compton cares or even knows about the ‘72 Games.

Adidas was founded by Adolph “Adi” Dassler, a NAZI party member.

Adi’s older brother Rudolph, also a NAZI, founded Pumas shoes.

Adidas was my go to after Nike became no go for me. However I now tend toward logo less stuff but unfortunately that usually means cheap chinese crap. The search continues.
