If you haven’t contacted the White House in the Biden administration, it would be kind of fun to give them a call tomorrow and tell them you support him staying in the race. You got this, Joe!

LBJ dropped out of the race after the New Hampshire primary when Eugene McCarthy grabbed a third of the vote against him.

Why not? Whoever comes out as the winner will have had a bruising fight..and they will never be able to unite the factions. They will be weak and divided no matter what sacrificial lamb they come up with.
Besides, I think if we're worried about who the eventual democrat candidate is, we underestimate Trump's popularity especially after the assassination attempt.

I didn't mean to steal your thunder, but 1968 was the first time I watched the two conventions, having just turned 13.
I remember Daley's enraged face, and the police vs. hippies in the streets outside.
What happened that summer echoed through our culture for years afterward. Chicago Transit Authority immortalized it on the entire fourth side of their inaugural album.
Obama could draw them back, but does she want to, and she isn't quite as popular as many here believe.
None will be able to beat President Trump. Saving their chances in the Senate and House races seems to be the driving force behind the insistence of ejecting Biden.
Still, stories going either way currently so who knows what will happen.

An open convention with a volatile city in volatile times…. jiffy pop for everyone!
I’ve been thinking that and other things they could do to paralyze the country.
Personally, I think choosing Michelle Obama is chasing fool's gold. She has her own skeletons in her closet, and I don't think she would perform well in a debate over the issues. I don't think she can speak authoritatively about international geopolitical relations or economic and financial issues. She would only speak to emotional issues like abortion, identity politics, and pro-Palestinian support.
I would wonder if the electorate has moved beyond those "woke" issues this year. I wonder if the Democrats have already lost the Jewish vote, especially of the Obamas' disdain for Jews will drive them into President Trump's camp?

I’m sure Kamala wants Pedojoe to resign so she can officially be the first female president. If the reports are true, it won’t happen. No way cackles makes it out of the DNC.
1968 was my favorite Democratic convention.
Hopefully this year they will go for rioting inside the Convention instead of outside!

The debate performance headlines would have been completely overtaken by now. It was never going to matter as much as we thought it did.
Now, with Donald Trump still alive, the base (and now many others) fired up, patriotic, and determined like never before, they’re left to abandon ship.
This is why Obama is now dropping Biden. It is not a coincidence, it is not random.

Just hated to see history repeating itself and moving into the assassination phase as 1968.
Chilling and really sad.
Not gonna happen-not only is she an overweight, lazy disbarred lawyer who is as indifferent to the issues of the common people as Marie Antoinette was-but she has said/shown she hates this country too many times in public. If by some remote chance she ever did get even nominated, it is a pretty sure bet that most red states would seceed-maybe some blue ones, too-no one wants to go down with a sinking ship...
They’ve got 10,000,000+ foreign nationals here illegally, recently, to choose from to help them achieve that.
