I would have chosen Youngkin also and not taken a Senator that is conservative out of the senate. DeWine will probably replace him with a RINO. Youngkin can’t run again so he would not be missed. Oh well I like JD as well he would be more loyal

If Trump dies, will Vance pick conservative judges? Will Vance be considered an upgrade to Trump by those who hate him? I’m amazed at how many don’t think there’s a real chance of Trump getting offed during his second term. Trump is ahead and Biden is barely surviving, which gave him more options. You don’t want someone obnoxious or with a bad record, but you DO want someone who will pick good judges should bad things happen.

Trump didn’t select Vance. The GOP establishment selected him, and he is probably the best you’re going to get from them.
It would be good if Vance was able to talk freely about why he came around to Trump - if that would help bring in people like him who need to understand that under Biden we’ve lost what America has always been. Or at least what America has always stood for even if we haven’t executed it perfectly.

Look at it this way..Kamala Harris called Biden a RACIST to his face and what did Biden do, he picked her as his Vice President so even though Vance has said some anti Trump things in the past if this works than its a win
I don’t completely trust him, but if he’s genuine, he should be okay. I doubt he’ll bring Trump additional votes, but he probably won’t turn people off either.

Interesting statement from someone using the tagline “trust the Lord with all your heart and lean not unto your own understanding”. I’m trusting God on this. Bible says God puts the rulers in place and removes them as He sees fit based on His sovereign will. Memo to Ohio Governor Squish DeWine: though you despise any Republican who is to the right of Mitt Romney or Chris Christie, your job is to appoint Jim Jordan to the Senate to replace Vance (if a replacement is required).
As far as Jordan being “too important” in the House leadership to spare him from that role — bullshit.
As the token conservative among the RINO House leaders, Jordan is about as useful there as tits on a bull. He’d make a great Senator unless he’s so used to getting his marching orders from RINOs that he becomes a Mitch Bitch. I don’t think he’d do that; Vance didn’t.
