I don't believe this is true.
Are they saying if one (not me!) walked up to a president and pulled a gun they would not engage me? Till I fired first?
Or does this policy only extend to ex-presidents named Trump?

It’s not true. Bongino said you can shoot to prevent injury to protected targets. You have have to wait for them to be fired upon. That’s absurd.
